Is Alan Jackson responsible for keeping Main Street afloat in these unsteady economic times? That depends on how hungry he is. There's a folksy little spot in his hometown of Newnan, Ga., called the Redneck Gourmet. And restaurant owner Casey Smith told CNN that one of the things that keeps the eatery open is the celeb clientele. It has reportedly brought in guys like Jackson, plus comedian Jeff Foxworthy and Atlanta Falcons linebacker Keith Brooking for homemade sandwiches, desserts and good ol' Southern breakfasts. If only country stars and pro athletes could keep every small town shop from closing its doors.
