  Joey Martin is a finalist on CMT's Can You Duet competition.

Last night Rory and I watched ourselves on the big stage at the Wildhorse. Man, the set was really killer. I had no idea what to expect on the other side of the camera lens. I thought everyone looked really great and the show was so fun to watch. This is now the sixth show we've watched and still we get all nervous waiting our turn. I was pleasantly surprised how we came across on the sound/mixes and the band "Sixwire" is unbelievable. Thank goodness we had such a great band backing us. For us as a duo, this is the first time we've played with a band. All in all, it was really good. Rory had his head buried behind my back, as usual when we watch, until I convinced him that he looked great and sounded great. He's so afraid to watch us, especially himself...he's so cute like that.

Even though Aimee and Brett weren't thrilled with our song choice, I'm glad we stuck to our gut instinct by remaining more traditional. We seem to fit that mold which is confirmed by our attire. I really liked the shirt they picked for me and glad to wear my own boots, jeans and belt. I'm so happy Naomi gave us permission to remain the same and not change a thing. I guess Rory will have to dig through some more overall to select that perfect pair for this Friday. I really am looking forward to the next show. I think I'm going to bring out the guitar and play on this next show. Wish us luck!
