Trailer Choir’s “Biggest And Baddest” Out With a Bang

Trailer ChoirHey, y’all! It’s the Trailer Choir here. Thanks for keeping up with us out here on the Biggest and Baddest ‘08 Summer Tour with Toby Keith. This was our LAST weekend of touring. We started out the weekend in Albuquerque, N.M. After arriving at the venue we saw that there were many more trucks, buses and crew at this particular show … because in the middle of our performances, there was a movie being filmed on the same stage where we were performing! So after we performed our opening set, we were informed that Jeff Bridges, Colin Farrell and Robert Duvall were all watching our performance from the side of the stage. Wow! “Bobby Duvall” (as we were later introduced) asked to meet us, and said he really liked our energy and the show we had just performed. What an incredible evening …

John Rich Plays for Chicks

Posted: September 3rd, 2008 at 2:21 pm | By: Alison Bonaguro

John Rich sang his “Raisin’ McCain.” Country newcomers Carter’s Chord sang a special song. And Meghan McCain and the Blogettes showed up, too. All this to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Gustav and to celebrate Political Chicks a Go-Go, a special women’s event at the Republican National Convention. The event was held at Bar Fly in Minneapolis. It’s an effort to get women more involved in public policy, politics and voting. Vice presidential pick Sarah Palin is one woman who is certainly getting involved.

Trailer Choir Wakes Up Early for TV, Stays Up Late for Radio

Trailer Choir with Raychel and Ray of the WSEE Morning Show in Erie, Pa.Hey Y’all! WOW! What a busy weekend we have had! We left Nashville on Wednesday (Aug. 20) to perform at Club Paradise in Blasdell, N.Y. Then it was over to Meadville, Pa., for the Crawford County Fair to meet back up with the Toby Keith Biggest and Baddest tour. We made a stop at 5:30 a.m. in Erie, Pa., for a TV appearance and live studio performance on the WSEE Morning Show with Raychel and Ray, to promote that evening’s performance at the Crawford County Fair with Toby Keith. We then stopped at two radio stations for live, on-air interviews with our labelmates Carter’s Chord. We arrived at the fairgrounds around 11 a.m. and got a little rest. A few members of our band walked around the fair and even got to see a 100 lb. rat! (For only 50 cents, no less.)

Trailer ChoirHey, y’all! It’s the Trailer Choir here. We have had a busy weekend in the Northeast! We started out in Virginia Beach. We had a really great day, with absolutely beautiful weather. We had an on-air interview with our friends at 97.3 The Eagle and then we were ready to perform for our acoustic backstage pre-show with Toby Keith. We took the stage after our labelmates Mica Roberts and Carter’s Chord around 7:30 p.m. We performed and got a standing ovation! And we couldn’t be happier!

Trailer Choir’s Biggest and Baddest Summer Blog

Posted: August 7th, 2008 at 9:18 am | By: Trailer Choir

Trailer ChoirHey y’all! It’s the Trailer Choir here. OK, so it’s been a crazy couple of weeks. We took a few days off from touring with Toby Keith to run to Wisconsin for Country Thunder. We performed there on July 17 and 18, then hopped a 6 a.m. flight on the 19th to meet back up with the rest of the tour in Portland, Ore. We got into Portland (where the airline lost Big Vinny’s bag) and headed straight to the theatre to get ready for the show. Vinny got his bags back right before the show. We left town a little late, when (right as we were putting on our pajamas), Toby invited us last-minute to go to Duke’s Bar with him, followed by a very late night breakfast at Shari’s Diner, involving a lot of chocolate milkshakes around 2 a.m.

Jammin’ With NASCAR in North Carolina

Posted: October 18th, 2007 at 2:48 pm | By: Flynnville Train

Flynnville TrainThe Train ventured through the South this week, playin’ several honky-tonks and a couple of festivals. The highlight came when we had the thrill of playing the pre-race concert on Saturday at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., near Charlotte. We were very excited going into the concert because we meet a lot of NASCAR fans at our shows and know that they are our kind of crowd — rowdy rednecks havin’ a great time. They were in fact extremely receptive.

We had the pleasure of backing up our labelmates Carter’s Chord for a couple of songs. They are a new act on Show Dog Records and they are incredible. Wait until you hear these girls. The harmonies are angelic, unlike anything you’ve ever heard. They’re working now to introduce themselves to radio and I’m sure you will hear them very soon. They’re gonna be huge stars.

We also had the honor of backing up Chris Farren and Tommy Lee James. We played the theme song for the movie Dale called “Lookin’ for a Road” that Chris wrote. The guys were a pleasure to work with and nailed the performance. We closed the show with our new single, “Tequila Sheila,” and first hit, “Last Good Time.” I have to say the coolest part of the whole deal was sharing the stage with the biggest star of the show, the #3 car parked right in front. Unfortunately we didn’t get to hang around and check out the race because we had another show in Anderson, S.C., that night. We had our own race getting there and made it in record time. — Tommy Bales
