CMT Blog: Caitlin Lynn

Caitlin Lynn is one of the finalists in CMT's Can You Duet competition.

So the first night at the Wildhorse is done...and my voice is gone...Will and I were both losing our voices but thank God we got through the show! It was so awesome watchin everyone play and even more fun singing! Dude I got to play at the freakin Wildhorse! I really don't think any of this has sunk in yet, for any of us.

My family was here and I hadn't seen them for about 2 weeks...believe me it was just what I needed. They also brought Jen (my original partner and guitarist). Jen also happens to be my best friend and told me she couldn't make it down for the first taping. Well she lied and I cried when I saw her. I was just really happy to have my musical soulmate in the same zip code again! We're from Maryland so it's a pain in the ass drive...BUT that drive on 81 south inspired our band name! So I guess it's not all that bad...eighty1south...check it out on myspace and add us!

Anyway, we've got a week until the next show and hopefully my voice will be fully functional by Tuesday. I see lots of tea, honey, lemon and rest in my future. Thanks for reading ya'll!
