Carrie Underwood, Mike Fisher Settle Into Ottawa
I know Carrie Underwood is crazy about her new husband, Mike Fisher, but is she seriously letting him handle the interior design of their new house in Ontario? That is true love right there. That's what Us Magazine is reporting about the new house Mr. & Mrs. Mike Fisher are building in Ottawa, where Fisher needs to be for his position with the Ottawa Senators hockey team. It must be so hard to choose where to live as a couple when both of you travel for a living and when your current homes are separated by more than 1,000 miles. I suppose they could've split the difference and set down their roots midway between the two, perhaps in Akron, Ohio, or Pittsburgh. But Ottawa won. Fisher apparently told Canada's CTV that he loves it up there and that "Home is where we are." Aw. How sweet is that?

Allison, Mike told reporters that he is moving to Nashville to raise their kids as soon as hockey is over. So once he retires, Nashville will be their home. For now, Both nashville AND Canada will be their homes. They will live in both places. Carrie is not really moving to Canada per se as she will be keeping her home in Nashville. US Weekly and other rag mags are getting it all wrong.

Heard that they were arguing about where to live. Hope Mike gets to stay w/the Senators n not get moved around from one team to the other. Have a hockey player friend who has had to do that n its made it really hard on the family especially w/children, moving from state to state n sometimes within a moment’s notice.

HA HA - they are both laid back and cool customers - I think Carrie and Mike are pretty decided and have said many times they plan on living in both places during the year, they both are touring so as Mike said “the airport” will be home for a while - they have houses north and south - and have said once Mikes finishes his career they will reside in Nashville.

I agree with belle. It’s very hard to find fault with carrie as an country artist-with phenomenal vocals-I might add and also as a person and yet even while there’s really nothing to criticize carrie about-allison tends to question carrie on what she does, what she wears…etc (but ones talked about isn’t even worth writing about because there’s no point to it other then trying to nikpik carrie) and loses the focus on what’s supposed to be focused with touches of … sarcasm. even with articles about carrie’s wedding was like that. The approach to carrie’s articles are very DRY. no enthusiasm, no emphasis really on carrie herself, her amazing music, her character and loving spirit..etc. but just kind of bent on giving her a hard time on anything she does. very bad taste in my opinion. oh yes, she still has “compliments” like “awww so sweet” but overall-the picture and meaning behind it isn’t so much that but rather a sort of disbelief over what carrie is doing. she doesn’t say it outright but it’s written all over the words.
she certainly doesn’t favor carrie and give her enough recognition and praises that she deserves
anyways, Carrie, I wish you the best. You are such a loving and caring person and I’m sure a very good wife too :D you know what true love is and I admire that you try and keep your personal life personal and don’t spill all just to get more publicity like …. SOME people. coughhhhh*

Well said Crystal. I also noticed that on most of Alison`s Carrie blogs about her the negativity and insinuations towards Carrie. I just ignored it because I know who she is promoting all the time . So please loosen up Alison

I read the Carrie Fisher blog regarding the new home construction. The writer obviously is clueless about hockey, you cant live 500 miles away, when you are on the ice everyday from 9am-11am. Sometimes, I think people forget that others read their blogs, and type moronic statements. I now remember why I don’t read blogs.
I wish the two newlyweds good luck with their new life. All you creep’os who keep bloging about “them” should get your own relationships under control and worry less about others.
Ottawa also has a large Country Music community with other artists like Charlie Major and Gayle Gavin calling it home, in case you were wondering.

Ottawa - what are you talking about. No one is “worried” about “their” relationship. Most people are just knocking Allison for making a big deal about it and others are saying they heard something else.
No one dislikes Canada or Ottawa.

i think this article is irrelevant. Mike and Carrie more then likely discussed this before marriage and it seems they have their priorities together they will compromise, they will stay in ottawa for the remainder of his career and go back to nashville when he retires from hockey,like Mike said “HOME IS WHERE WE ARE”…so people need to chill, including this author named allison. marriage requires sacrifices but when you love someone you make it work regardless. mike and carrie are both lowkey people who will settle in both lowkey towns ottawa and nashville are great towns with the nicest people…a place of normalcy for celebrities where paparazzi’s dont exist, i think if they live in towns where they can maintain a normal and private life and eventually rasie a family thats the main goal and the main priority for them. allison is just being intrusive, if it isnt concerning music then just let her be!!!
