Is Shania Twain Destined to Judge American Idol?
With the U.S. unemployment rate hovering in the 9.5 percent range, why is it so difficult to find anybody to fill the job as an American Idol judge? I mean, you only have to work a few weeks a year, the pay is good and no heavy lifting is involved. What more could you ask for? But you have to think it would take more than that to get Shania Twain's attention. She's been working on a new album, but it's not as though she needs the money after selling 20 million copies of Come on Over, 12 million of The Woman in Me and 11 million of Up! With Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres not returning for the next season, rumors are flying about their possible successors. Now that Jennifer Lopez is apparently out of the picture, web reports indicate that Twain is a likely choice, although nobody from her camp or American Idol is confirming or denying anything. Twain already judged one of Idol's regional competitions, so the show's producers are aware that she's a pro who shows up sober. That's a key element in landing and keeping a job, although maybe not an absolute requirement for all positions in the entertainment industry. If an offer is made, do you think Twain will accept the gig? And which other country artists would be a good addition to the show?

I think Shania,Faith and Reba….now that would be amazing… I would watch for sure!!!
Eric says:
Absolutely, Shania will be fabulous as a judge. Better yet, they should book her for X factor, she is so professional, well spoken and caring for the contestants.
rosyz says:
She will be a good one but nobody can ever replace Simon. Hope they can find a good mix of judges next season.
countryiscool says:
I would LOVE to see Shania as judge. Simon was my fave and with him gone I was thinking I’d find a new show to watch (like maybe his new one), but if Shania were to judge, I would have to renege on that decision. Can’t wait for her new material.
Ken says:
I don’t see it happening and you also have to look I believe at another vacancy with Kara being released from judging as well.
Peacock Queen says:
I would love for Shania to be a judge. It might just save this show.

That would be perfecto!
kuvan says:
Shania has always been my favorite singer of all time and I hope to god she takes the job because she will be a wonderful element to everyone and I will definitely not miss one show and I will definitely set my VCR when I am not home to watch and don’t forget the ratings. I believe the ratings will hit the roof and everyone will keep watching and won’t miss a show. please, please let it be Shania Twain.
Chris says:
Shania is sooooooo hot. I would watch again for the first time in years baby.
Brooke says:
I would watch if Shania would be on. She was perfect at the auditions. But nobody can replace Simon!
Paul says:
I really hope she drops AI as a possible choice. She is a true artist and she can’t be on a show like that. We want more albums and tours!! AI is bombing and I just don’t wanna see Shania going this route. Please Shania! Do not do American Idol!!
Chris says:
I agree with Paul there. Shania Twain is one of the most accomplished country artists of all time. She needs to stay far away from AI as much as possible. I also want a new album by her, not American Idol. NO AI FOR TWAIN!!
Ross says:
For the love of God! Please don’t let her Judge American Idol Season 11! Yuck! If this happens then I’m not watching it! I hate pure county pop singers! Thank goodness for the U.S version of The X Factor!
