Chris Young Battles Weather Indoors and Out
This week started with some interesting weather. Our first show was in Kirksville, Mo., and the sky went nuts. We had to end the show a little early due to a tornado warning. You know it's bad when the Weather Channel mentions the city you are in by name! Ha! The bad weather followed us to Beatrice, Neb., (thankfully no tornados this time) but it held off just long enough for our show that night. After that we picked back up on the Rascal Flatts tour and took advantage of some indoor venues, first in Wichita, Kan., and then in Tulsa, Okla. It was nice to be inside, but it did present an interesting problem for me one night due to the lack of wind.
I MAY have stepped on Joe Don's pedal board a little, which really throws off his guitar's sound. But it was covered in confetti since there was no wind to blow it off the stage, so I had no clue (sorry brother ha ha)! We finished the weekend in Frisco, Texas, and added John Rich to the show that night. It was a really great weekend and we ended it right. I hope you all know how much I'm enjoying these shows, and hope you are right there with me. Thanks for all the comments about my new video for "Voices." My family and I had a blast filming it (even though it was extra hot and humid that day) and I'm glad you guys finally get to see it. Until next week ...

That is funny Chris about the pedal board! Hope the weather gets better for you this week. Supposed to be high 70’s , less humidity and mostly sunny Thursday for your WI show!! I love the “Voices” Video and how you included your whole family ,even Dot’s picture . The baby looking into the camera is so cute!

I guess it was bound to happpen, lol. You do such a great job covering the stage during your performances, I guess it was a matter of time before Joe Don’s pedal board was going to get in the way.
Don’t even get me started about the weather, lol.

Knowing the way you can cause changes in weather I am not at all surprised at what has been happening!!LOL!!Sorry Chris I just couldn’t resist. I love the Voices video and have one question. The yellow car in the video I was wondering if that might be a 1973 late model Dodge Challenger or a 1974 Plymouth Barracuda. I may be completely off but can you tell me what is car is? I am so looking forward to seeing you back in California. Hoping to see some more shows on your schedule.

I was right there with you, Chris and lots of Young Country Fans,in Frisco. That’s a first time for me to be in the 2nd row!! Hopefully you could see my Young Country sign! Your show was terrific. You and the band are up to mischief up on that huge stage! You all love what you do and it shows! I love it! Was that pay-back for Joe Don since he’s been whipping you at basketball? Haha!
Better weather wished for you. Hugs:)

Wonderful show in Tulsa,Okla. But, you never fail to do less than a wonderful show, in my opinion. :)
Debbie says:
This is so typical of your weather patterns! I have been through sleet, snow, freezing weather, and heavy thunder storms during your shows, but thank God no tornados. Sorry you have encountered some scarry times, glad to know you are doing OK and nothing major. Too funny about the pedal board. The way you move on stage, I’m surprised it hasn’t happened before now. You really keep the energy and when I am at one of your shows, I CANNOT sit down, your energy makes me move!! Sorry, for the folks that don’t want to stand!! Love reading your blogs, and keeping up with your many road adventures.
See you soon in VA.
