Chris Young Dodges Rain on Fourth of July

Chris Young This past weekend was a great trip. We started out in Kansas City, Mo., on the KC Power and Light District Stage at the fair. It had been a while since I got a chance to play in Kansas City with my full band and the crowd was amazing. We even got to go back on stage for an encore. After wrapping that show, we loaded everything up and headed cross country to Ruidoso Downs, N.M., to perform at the Ruidoso Downs Casino and Horse Track. The setup was great, but the show was actually in danger of being rained out for a while. They pulled the whole stage out onto the track for the show and luckily the rain quit before we went on. The crowd was great at that show, too, and the band and I had a fun time. Thankfully we were able to see lots of fireworks as we drove back to Nashville from New Mexico. Hopefully everybody had a safe and happy Fourth of July! I'm looking forward to the shows in Mississippi, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Georgia this week and then rejoining the Rascal Flatts tour next week. Hope to see you all out on the road!

That is cool and I hope you were safe and I was worried about the rain and I hope Rascal Flatts are okay too.

Good to hear you are having a great time. Hope you had a good 4th as well and glad to know you didn’t get hurt with all those fireworks. See you soon and get some rest!!!!

I also watched fireworks from the road…so pretty watching 10 different set of fireworks go off all around you! Cannot wait for you to be in Darien, NY in September with RF! 2 of my 3 favorites…all you need is Jake Owen on the road with you!

So, did you toss the bluejeans or stitch them up? Great concert at Ruidoso! Enjoyed your music since voting you the winner on Nashville Star! Keep those wonderful songs coming as fast as you can!

Wish I could get tickets to Chris’s concert at NY state fair on Sept. 4th. Bekah was in his video. It would be SO cool to meet him. LOVE his voice.
