Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Keep Flood Relief Coming
Tonight (June 22) is Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's Nashville Rising benefit concert for flood relief. I'm not able to go, but I love reading about the good they are still doing for all the victims, like hoping to raise up to $3 million for the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee in just one night. In this story from the Tennessean, Hill says one of the reasons why they put this show together for June, nearly eight weeks after the flood hit, is because people will continue to need help down the road. "You need it all. You need the beginning, the middle and the end," she said. McGraw agreed, saying "Everybody was putting their benefits together (immediately following the flood), and that was fantastic and they raised a lot of money. But ... we knew that later on down the line it would start losing some wind." I'm happy that McGraw and Hill are keeping the local devastation top of mind long after most of the national attention has died down.

These two are a joke. They will do anything for press. Since the more POPULAR Nashville Stars got all the attention, they had to compete.
Diane says:
What these two do, is help their neighbor’s. It’s what they always do, it’s the way they were raised. Good people.

It was a very succesful concert. Everybody did a good job. They raised 2 millions or more. Way to go Nashville stars. Good job Tim and Faith.
Robin says:
Thanks Tim and Faith for taking care of your home folks, keeping them in mind and not forgetting the long term.
Why people have to be negative about good things is beyond me.

Has anyone noticed that Tim doesn’t look good and I’m talking health wise. The last couple of times I’ve seen him on award shows or entertainment shows he just looks like he’s ill. He seems to never smile or look happy anymore and very dark circles around his eyes. It may just be me but I can’t help but notice it.
BethAnne says:
I have noticed that Tim is thinner than he used to be; he shaved his sideburns off, so he looks different, and yes, he’s been really serious looking at the recent awards shows. I wouldn’t necessarily say he looks ill, but he does look different since he quit drinking. Let’s hope for the best, granna.

Thank God for people like Tim & Faith. They are always willing to help! They really not only contribute money to so many, many charities they are also hands on. Thanks Tim & Faith for caring for so many!

He also seems to lose quite a bit of weight. Now that you both mentioned it, I just noticed it. Hope all is well.
Rosa says:
I just saw Tim in concert, had real good seats and he looks great. He is down to about 175 in weight and looks awesome. If you followed him in the 90’s you would know he is down in weight to what he was then. Looks great, full of energy. He was onstage singing for two hours in 90 degree weather. Never once did he seem sick, was full of energy. His shirt was soaked from sweat. How he performed for that long with so much energy in that heat was amazing. He is in excellent shape, best he has been since 2002 IMO. As for Tim and Faith kudos to them and all the artists that performed. BTW Tim at his concerts sells a T-shirt with his picture on it that is all about helping. It even says Help if you Can. The break between Lady Antebellum performance and Tim’s he is shown talking about this Tshirt that he has for sale, 100% of the proceeds from that T Shirt go to the soliders, Operation Homefront. So Tim is himself advertising for people to buy that Tshirt. where 100% of the profits go to helping the soldiers instead of his other Tshirts. I bought the T Shirt that the proceeds went to the soliders. Tim at the concert talked about being from Louisana and asked us to pray for the people down there. At the end of his concert his last words was, “Be goood to each other and I will see you down the road.
Rosa says:
Also he looks extremely happy and talked about Faith and the girls.

I was lucky enough to attend the show and I want to tell you that all of their friends that performed were happy that Tim & Faith asked them to participate. Everyone there, whether you were from Nashville or not, you felt like you belonged. The people in Nashville are very nice and appreciate each other. They are helping each other not waiting for the govt. to save them. They are volunteering to help their neighbors. It was a fantastic show and Tim & Faith were very gracious hosts. Love them both. I’m from Minnesota but I felt like I belonged there.

They use their celebrity to HELP others. Good for them.
