LeAnn Rimes Arrives in Town for Nashville Rising

Posted: June 21st, 2010 at 9:30 pm  |  By: LeAnn Rimes

LeAnn Rimes

Just landed in Nashville! I'm here for the Nashville Rising show, raising money for the flood victims. Eddie is hanging with me and giving Nashville some love. We've hit the ground running. Dropped our bags off at my friend's house, ate some yummy sushi and now I'm at the arena rehearsing for the show tomorrow night. Tim McGraw's band is playing for me, so we are rehearsing my two songs in a sec. Eddie is talking on the phone with his mom, Martina McBride is on stage rehearsing now and I'm drinking a Vitamin Water Zero and burying myself in a dirty couch because I'm freezing. I've been sweating outside since I got here and now I've got ice falling off of me. The South can't help but turn the air conditioner to zero!! I actually can't wait to get back outside.

There are bigger stars in town for the same event. Cover their arrival please. This was so unimportant.

I agree. No one care what this home-wrecker does.

XXXX - Miranda and Blake KEPT THEIR MOUTH SHUT. They did not disrespect his ex wife (of whom he was already seperated as they had OTHER issues - if you actually knew what you were talking about - you’d know that).

I am quit forgiving when people aren’t arogant and pushing THEIR choice to destroy someone else’s family into that persons and everyone else’s face. If LeAnn would LEAVE HER mouth shut about Brandi, and not flaunt her boy toy in music videos, and not tell the whole world that “she’s sorry that people got hurt, but that’s just too bad because the important thing is that SHE GOT WHAT SHE WANTED” - then everyone would move on from her rotteness.

By the way bud - I am no housewift - I bring home the steak and potatoes and beach house. But, the assumptions are enlightening.

I work for a living and I’m far from a housewife. What I am is a loyal wife who would never cheat on my husband because I took my wedding vows seriously.

Robin aka Jason aka BasySass aka Scoot12345

    Relative of Brandi no doubt!

We LeAnn fans don’t pay any attention to him. We love you LeAnn and Eddie. The two of you together are BEAUTIFUL! God bless your love.

You go, Gail! Apparently Robin and S. DO care about what LeAnn’s doing - especially Robin, as she feels the need to comment multiple times on every LeAnn post on CMT.com. She’s not “pushing her choice” and she didn’t destroy a marriage. As much as you claim to know about Blake’s divorce you should find some different sources about LeAnn and Eddie’s relationship. Eddie and his children are in her life, so she going to mention them.

  • Robin says:

    Posted: June 22nd, 2010 at 2:07 pm

Kel - it’s not “mentioning” his kids to say “oh, too bad so sad people got hurt, I don’t care though because I got what I wanted”.

She actually doesn’t need to mention Brandi’s kids at all while she’s out pushing her album.

If CMT wouldn’t promote her, I wouldn’t speak my mind. CMT has choosen to promote her in the form of blogs, so beware, the pop country industry audience can and will speak back. If her fans would quit saying outlandish things like they support her rotten BEHAVIOR then it would die. But, they don’t and she can’t keep her mouth shut. So, here I am and here I shall be.

This blog isn’t about Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Blake Shelton, or Miranda Lambert. It’s about LeAnn Rimes. That’s why we’re commenting on LeAnn Rimes.

If CMT only posted on who is relevant, we’d only read about Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and a few other artists.

I agree with S. I take my marriage vows very seriously. Always have, always will. I wonder if these two have ever considered how hurt and humiliated their spouses were at their behavior, and probably still are. Someday, the shoe may be on the other foot. That is why it is important for these two to learn to have some compassion for others.

Nice. I go to other blog sites, an article comes up about Rimes, and people talk about the music. Here, everything but. Pop Culture at its finest.

Thanks for reminding me why I don’t come here very often anymore.

to you holier than thou’s if you only do business with honest upstanding citizens you must only do business with yourself. YES Leann cheated, stole another woman’s husband BUT she wasn’t the 1st won’t be the last and like all the artist I don’t like just turn the station and don’t worry about what they do because they don’t worry about your life!!

    her music SUCKS!

  • Trish says:

    Posted: June 22nd, 2010 at 5:24 pm

I have a choice as to whether or not to support her lifestyle. I’ll spend my money on good music made by good people or give it to charity. LeAnn’s only in town to promote her record. As far as I know she has not given a dime to any of the Nashville flood charity efforts.

  • Robin says:

    Posted: June 22nd, 2010 at 7:11 pm

I don’t just turn the station. I let my voice be heard. That’s how you affect things.

  • countryiscool says:

    Posted: June 22nd, 2010 at 9:23 pm

The only thing you’re affecting is the annoyance level. I’m sure Leann could care less and she will do fine by the fans she has. Keep it to the MUSIC & it’s all good. Her personal life does not affect mine.

  • WHATEVERWEWANNA says:

    Posted: June 23rd, 2010 at 6:41 am

You’re exactly right that LeAnn couldn’t care less about people other than herself. She definitely has shown all who have been paying attention that. I disagree “it’s all good”, obviously it is not as evidenced by her victims and a significant percentage drop in her fan base!

  • Robin says:

    Posted: June 23rd, 2010 at 7:39 am

Her behavior DOES affect the music. If she wants a career in the popular music industry, she should learn that. She can go to the Americana scene where no one cares.

Besides that, her music isn’t that great since she forgot how to sing without rocks in her mouth.

  • Dina says:

    Posted: June 23rd, 2010 at 10:39 am

For good or bad, what you do as an artist affects the attitude your fans hold toward you. For instance, if you’re a home wrecker, you can expect those among your fanbase who are faithful to their spouses to be appalled at your actions. You can also expect many of them to stop buying your music and attending your concerts. That’s life as a celebrity.

I just don’t understand why LeAnn wrote a blog entry on CMT about “arriving” in Nashville, and then proceed to complain about the a/c being too high. She seems rather whiny to me..

  • Irene says:

    Posted: June 23rd, 2010 at 4:02 pm

It’s my understanding that LeAnn sang two songs and went back to LA without making a donation. Country music charities are not a place to promote one’s music and I for one resent it.

  • J.J. says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 8:02 am

What she and Eddie did was repugnant. I don’t care who you are, this kind of thing leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth. BUT…If we all refused to listen to an artist’s music because they did something we consider wrong, we’d be xxxing out a whole lotta artists. Over the years I’ve realized that if I look too deeply into the lives of an artist I like, I’m going to be disappointed. So I focus on the music. If I like it, I continue to like it. If I never did like it, it’s easy to dismiss the artist due to their indiscretions. Leann’s real fans will continue to support her and the ones that never liked her will continue to judge her. I find it amusing that so many of you cry foul when negative posts appear on their favorite artist’s blog threads. These people say if you aren’t interested in the artist and don’t have anything good to say, stay off the thread. LOL. Those same people may be here doing exactly what they accuse others of doing. If you want the Leann blogs to go away, stop commenting on them. If people show no interest, CMT will cease and desist.

  • Robin says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 8:31 am

J.J. - other artists do have similar issues in their PAST. Here the issue is that LeAnn, in the present keeps tormenting Eddie’s soon to be ex-wire and her ex-husband with things like “our one year anniversary” when they were both “happily” married one year prior to this recent statement. And, her over the top selfish comments like “I’m sorry people got hurt, but I really don’t care because I got what I want”. She also quickly runs out and makes a music video featuring Eddie.

If she wants her private life to stay private then she needs to keep her mouth shut and everyone would eventually move on from it. It would show some level of remorse if she would just take ANYTHING Brandi had to say and be humble about it. But, she doesn’t. She continues to run around singing her happy little tune about how in love she is and how Eddie’s wife is a loon.

Other artists have gotten divorced and moved on to their next relationship. Some of those very likely started before they were divorced. They keep it private by not commenting on it no matter who else comments on it and they show respect for their former spouse. Blake Shelton’s word in an interview from last year when asked about his ex-wife said “she a great person and did nothing wrong - it was all my fault. She is a great person that I still care about and wish nothing but the best for.” If you have to make a comment or interviewers directly ask you, then BE RESPECTFUL the dividends pay back a thousand fold.

No one is perfect, but to use your fans and your access to public opinion to try to torment someone YOU wronged is only going to breed anger from people like me. I WAS a fan of LeAnn’s music for years, but this is not the first time I’ve been asked in the name of music to overlook her actions. This I won’t overlook until she makes it right (by shutting her trap).

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 9:39 am

    Robbin,

I still like LeAnn’s recent music (her last two albums and the “Swingin’” single from her upcoming album), but I appreciate your last response. It highlights your issues with the situation much better than your previous comments have done and I feel like I completely understand where you’re coming from now.

  • J.J. says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 9:53 am

Robin - Leann actually said the words “but I really don’t care because I got what I want”? It’s hard to imagine anyone would say that publicly but if you say she did, I believe you. Where can I hear or read that quote? Is it from an article or an interview? Those were unfortunate words indeed. But if she had come out and profusely apologized in public to Eddie’s wife and her now ex-husband, what difference would it have made? People that don’t like her anyway would have said she was just paying lip service and lying through her teeth. I may not like what she did and if she were my daughter, I’d be crushed and upset by her choices. I’m just a little leery of people that jump to judge so harshly other people’s bad decisions. Eddie’s ex-wife has a right to do that. Leann’s ex-husband has a right to do that. We do not. That’s what I choose to believe. If you choose to boycott her and her music until such time as you feel she’s sufficiently apologized or paid for her sins, that’s your prerogative. Isn’t that what makes this world go ’round?

  • timcun says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 10:02 am

J.J. — She did an interview with People magazine. Her exact quote was:

“I did one of the most selfish things that I possibly could do, in hurting someone else,” the country superstar says in the new issue of PEOPLE, speaking for the first time about the end of her 7-year marriage last year, following an affair with married actor Eddie Cibrian. “I take responsibility for everything I’ve done. I hate that people got hurt,” says Rimes. “But I don’t regret the outcome.”

  • Robin says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 10:15 am

And, I will note that while People magazine says “speaking for the first time about the end of her 7-year marriage last year”. What they really mean, is “to a magazine or other publication directly”. She has spoken quit a bit more than “for the first time” via her annoying twitter account. And, I don’t follow her twitter. All of these twitter statements have been “quoted” in on-line articles from all types of news sources (and then verified).

Her comment about their “one year anniversary” was quickly pulled once Dean (in his twitter) called her on the fact that they were married one year earlier and he was in the dark.

And, while you may feel she appologized in that horrid respons to people. The standout quote is “But I don’t regret the outcome.” All of the rest is lip service as that ONE comment invalidates it all. If you do not regret, then you are not sorry. “People got hurt”, but the overwhelming theme is to that end, she got what she wanted.

She really just needs to stop talking (and her boyfriend too for that matter).

  • J.J. says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 10:16 am

Thank you Robin. I hadn’t read that but it does confirm what I suspected. She did not say “I don’t care”. You put those words in quotes so I assumed you meant that she said it, not that you interpreted that way. She admitted she was selfish. She took responsibility for it so she wasn’t trying to blame anyone else. She didn’t feel too great about the hurt she caused. The only thing she said that someone could take issue with was “…but I don’t regret the outcome”. My interpretation is that she doesn’t regret that she found Eddie…not that she doesn’t regret the fallout. As I said, we all believe what we want to…and the world spins.

  • Robin says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 10:17 am

And, J.J. she doesn’t need to “appoligize” except privately to these two people at this point. She just needs to stop talking and stop “flaunting” her boyfriend. Doesn’t mean she needs to stop seeing him. But, to put him in a video now is over the top.

  • Robin says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 10:24 am

J.J. - she admitted she “was” selfish? She doesn’t think what she is doing now is selfish? Keeping his kids mother away from his third birthday party because “she would feel unfortable.”? Granted she could have a seperate birthday party to make LeAnn more comfortable, but then we are back to her selfishness.

And, that last line invalidates any “I’m sorry” that was there. It’s simple, she just needs to not talk because she doesn’t know what being “sorry” is. If she wouldn’t talk then people wouldn’t realize she is cold and heartless. They’d believe by her silence that she had remorse.

And, I put those in quotes only to seperate the statement from the rest of my sentence. It is an interpretation of what she said.

  • J.J. says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 12:08 pm

Robin. Wow. Was that kids birthday party thing in the news right along side of the news about the oil spill in the Gulf? Must’ve missed it. LOL I think you’re way too involved. There seem to more important things going on around here than what Ms. Rimes is or isn’t doing and to whom she is doing it. I don’t mean to make light of your feelings. Obviously this is up there on your list of things to be concerned about. Ta-ta.

  • Robin says:

    Posted: June 24th, 2010 at 1:29 pm

J.J. - I will give you that the Gulf spill is more important to all of us and if there was someone to yell at about that to, then I’d do it. Unfortunately BP bosses don’t read CMT blogs nor do CMT bloggers talk about them much.

Problem is with this story (for me) is that CMT keeps telling us everything. This is the only media outlet (of sorts) I’m trying to affect.

Sorry, I keep forgetting to say something, so I get multiple posts. I apologize.

I do picture Leann’s people very worried about her record sales and her playing these small venues and still can’t fill seats…I bet there’s a lot of discussion over her “image” right about now. Don’t forget, first and foremost it’s a business in the music industry. She needs this in the country game again, she didn’t fare too well trying to go the pop music route at all.
