Opening My Mind to Ke$ha
I'm still not quite sure how you pronounce a stylized name with a dollar sign in it. And, I'm still not totally sold on Ke$ha's big electro-pop-dance hits like "Tik Tok" (although I do kind of dig the line about "before I leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack"). But you know what? I've realized she's a good ol' Nashville girl, and so last night (June 16) she put on a massive flood relief show at Nashville's Limelight club. All the profits -- literally 100 percent -- are going to help flood victims. She told The Tennessean newspaper, "I'm really in the position finally to help in a big way, which is to me one of the biggest upsides of the whole fame thing. Really, the only part of celebrity culture I take seriously is the fact that I am going to get to reach a lot of people about something this serious, that a lot of people need to be aware of." That sounds like something a country star might say.

I don’t have a clue who this person is but glad she’s trying to help Nashville.
Robin says:
good for her
rosyz says:
Good for her. My kids like her music. She is a pop star.
Tom says:
It’s nice of her to help, but her music is bottom of the barrel drivel that reflects everything wrong with today’s music industry.
Cory says:
I went last night and it was great! I love Ke$ha even more now.
Jeff says:
I would never let my kids any where near her music, great that she helped out though.
Val says:
Yeah my dad would complain about what I listened too. Calling it junk. This was in the 80’s. Its a sign of age.
Kids will hear it somewhere else. Probably know who she is if they go to school.
Glad my sons prek bus played country. :)
I dont know her either think its awesome she helped!
I Am Very Cute says:
being the daughter of a country songwriter, i think time will come when she’ll abandon her auto-tunes voice (i saw it somewhere that she can really sing even without the aid of auto-tune) and sing something country. doesn’t matter if it’s carrie underwood country or miss leslie country…
