LeAnn Rimes Answers Fans' Questions
LeAnn Rimes cranked up the energy level at last week's CMT Music Awards when she previewed her new single, a cover of John Anderson's 1983 hit, "Swingin'." Her new album will be released later this year. Through her "Posted" page at CMT.com, Rimes took the time to answer questions fans submitted by voicemail and via Twitter.
Voicemail: Love the new single! When can we expect the video?

@Felicia_Leigh: is it easy for you to show relatable emotion with most of your songs?
I draw a lot from life experience when I sing. I put my heart and soul into my music. I love it when my fans really feel what I'm singing. There is a deeper connection with my fans that way.

I'm really loving singing "Swinging" and I love "Nothing Better To Do." I love covering Joplin's "Summertime.". There is something really freeing about it.

I use Shure mics on stage. They are the best!

I am really enjoying having Eddie's two beautiful boys in my life. They make me laugh daily. It's a new responsibility, but it's never felt awkward or overwhelming. I love them to death!

While I don’t condone her personal choices in life, it is not for me to judge. That said, I still like her music & videos. I don’t care much for her remake of John A’s song, “Swinging” though–too manic, but I still think she has GREAT vocals.

Does anyone recall Johnny Cash and his affairs, Reba and her divorce and many others. No doubt there are skeletons in everyones closet. I did not realize the posters here have a perfect marriage. I doubt their life is perfect. Divorce happens. You cant take a man unless he wants to be taken. These two may live in happiness for the rest of their lives. You should not judge.

As members of civilized society it is our perogative to judge and it is imperative that good people stand agaist atrocious behavior! Yes Mick a spouse can be stolen. We all meet many people throughout life we have “chemistry” with. If a married person meets someone new that they also have chemistry with, and this 3rd party offers them wealth, fame and a lifestyle they wouldn’t otherwise attain, many many many people would self justify some reason to dump their spouse. So yes a spouse CAN be stolen. Kinda like the biblical story of the serpent and Eve, a lesson to teach people to obey the rules! That’s bad enough, however, a person that has an inkling of morality and respect for their current spouse, they would not conduct a covert affair, lie to them, expose them to who knows what STDs and file for a divorce PRIOR to physically acting on their attraction to the 3rd party! Music is important, preventing a civilized society decaying to anarchy is a far more important issue. Plenty of good, even great singer and songwriters being born everyday. Dump LeAnn.

And, as far as the music goes, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Reba are miles ahead of LeAnn in talent. They have something worthwhile to sing about.
And, while I have a VERY forgiving heart when it comes to artists and their mistakes, I’m not so forgiving of someone who is in the midst of their bad behavior - doing it publicly and rubbing it in the harmed party’s face - making excuses for herself. If that ever changed, I’d have a change of heart about LeAnn.
Does that mean, I would expect that she’d leave Eddie - not at this point, she’s already ruined a marriage. BUT, if she’d keep her mouth shut, quit taking pictures with BRANDI’S kids, quit trying to make Brandi look crazy by publicly calling Brandi out for Brandi’s reaction to LEANN’s actions and Eddie’s for that matter, quit expecting Brandi to react the way she wants her to to LEANN destroying her family AND not make a video with Eddie rubbing it into everyone’s (including Brandi’s) face.
If she’d lay low and allow Brandi the time to heal the way Brandi needs to then I wouldn’t even think about this anymore. But LeAnn keeps this tormoil going and keeps harming these children on a daily basis and I will call her and CMT (for their support) every time.

It’s not just one person in the relationship who’s taking care of the other — it’s both of us putting the effort in. We are two separate people. They’re both honest people? REALLY? I’m not sure what their definition of honest is but it’s sure different than mine. It’s too bad they couldn’t have been honest with their spouses instead of sneaking around behind their backs. The more LeAnn talks the more she looks like a fool. I think she needs to keep her mouth shut.

LeAnn couldn’t focus on her own marriage (living her own life), than playing with someone else husband. She must have no friends, because a good friend would have told her how rotten she was being.

Maybe people do have personal experience somewhere in their lives. Selves, parents, etc. Even LeAnn herself had her own childhood home destroyed by this and still she does it herself. Guess that’s why she sang “Family”. But, that’s why people UNDERSTAND the severity of what she’s done. The fact that she down’t truely own up to it and only makes excuses only fuels the flame.

1) Bill and Monica weren’t lying to anyone. Hillary and Bill had an arrangement.
2) What do they have to do with the country music industry? She is USING her fans to try to make someone else SHE caused pain look bad through her public image.
3) All that stuff is ACTUALLY in the past. They aren’t still sitting around running their mouth.
4) Neither of them said - “too bad so sad, I got what I wanted and that’s ALL that matters”.
It’s one thing to do the things she did. That is bad enough on it’s own. But, she has NO remorse for what she’s done. She said as much. And, she’s doing this stuff RIGHT NOW - not years ago.
She ran her jealous mouth about Carrie Underwood several years back. Faith was “accused” of the same thing. Yet Faith “actually” said that that was not her intent that she was just trying to be funny. LeAnn “actually” said - “I’m jealous - waa waa waa” and then removed it. I certainly don’t care about that anymore because that IS ACTUALLY in the past. THIS IS NOT! And, it’s LeAnn that keeps dragging this dead dog around.

Before I go into where you went wrong I will say, there are good alternatives described here in the comments.
