Taylor Swift's Lullaby Songs Soothe Baby to Sleep

Posted: June 14th, 2010 at 9:37 am  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Taylor SwiftMothers will try anything to get their babies to sleep at night -- from putting lavender in the bathtub to rocking in a rocking chair for hours on end -- so having some Taylor Swift music to help you get that job done is a win-win situation. This new Hushabye Baby: Lullaby Renditions of Taylor Swift has 12 tracks and is being billed as "nursery-ready instrumental renditions of Swift's biggest hits." I think by "nursery-ready," they mean they've replaced the blazing fiddles with things like the glockenspiel, piano and marimba. While I'm not a fan of instrumental music, this one makes sense since so many mothers probably know Swift's lyrics by heart anyway. Mom (or dad) can sing along with the CD to tunes like "Love Story," "Forever and Always," "Today Was a Fairytale" and her debut single, "Tim McGraw." And baby falls asleep. And it's a good night for everyone.

you do realize there are alot of other country artists who have the same thing out.

I notice that negative comments have been deleted and they weren’t that bad. Rember, this is not really as much a blog as an artist marketing tool.

With that said, I’d rather hear Taylor sing than the bad skits, hosting and non-performance activity at the CMT awards.

Like many mothers would know her lyrics by heart? Are you serious? Moms would have better things to do than memorize her lyrics of high school angst. As long as she doesn’t sing and it is only instumental it may be alright. Heaven knows we don’t want to make these babies tone deaf at an early age. Whatever happened to rocking chairs and a mom singing a lullaby to her baby? Things have changed.

TAYLOR is singing lullaby’s not her own songs about boys or whatever. Maybe she will write a song about her as a child who no’s?

GAG! I cannot believe people actually get sucked into this stuff. Anything to make her a dollar and get her attention. She is a pro at getting people to spend their money on her. You said it “say what”!

I wonder if she’ll be slinging her hair around while she’s singing?

Hey, how about something titled “music in the womb”? It’s never too early to start programming those tiny little brains. I’ve never seen such marketing strategy as I’ve seen with the Taylor Swift machine. They don’t miss a trick. Do you think she and her team were snake oil salesmen in another life?

I’m not a Taylor fan, but people should stop criticizing her for every move she makes. I haven’t been so kind at times, but some of the commenters are just fishing for some flaw to complain about.

First off, this series is not anything new, and many other popular country artists have done the same- George Strait, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Wille Nelson, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, and Rascal Flatts have installments in the series as well.

Furthermore, the artists themselves probably don’t even have much to do with the album at all, because the tracks are insturemental, and are released by the Hushabye Baby label, which is a completely seperate company from the various labels these artists record under.

Taylor doesn’t sing on the tracks-don’t complain about someting that’s irrelevant in this case. If you don’t like her installment, buy one of a dozen others or, better yet, sing your child to sleep yourself.

I’m actually shocked at all the people who call Taylor arrogant and spoiled as well. From what I understand, she has done nothing but work extremely hard and remain level-headed and mature through a worldwind that would knock most people out of the game in a matter of a few short years. Taylor remains charming, sweet, and very charismatic through all of this fame- she remains so accessible to her fans, I doubt most artists would dream of being so accessible and personal. I find it incredible that she spent 13 hours with her fans, and loving every second of it.

I find it astonishing that an artist like Taylor can be accused of being an arrogant, spoiled and immature by doing something good for someone else, but I know if it was any other artist these people would jump all over it and say how such an artist is so down-to-earth and would do anything and everything for their fans, when in reality, Taylor is probably one of the ONLY artists who would dream of actually doing such a great thing.

People should stop critisizing Taylor Swift. These songs are lyric-less, melodic and sweet. They’re nice lullabies, so you should stop judging unless you’ve heard the pieces and decided you dislike them for tune, not because of who the composer is.
And let me remind you that Taylor Swift is a successful, gorgeous 20-year old who only wants the beset for her audience, and this is the top-selling album for the Hushabye Baby company.
Taylor Swift is an amazing artist.

I am a Taylor Swift fan, though I acknowledge that her works are not necessarily artistic or vocal masterpieces. I find them easy to listen to, charming, and extremely catchy. I really don’t care if other people are bored by them; in fact, I don’t care if other people can’t stand them. I’m not tied to them so deeply that I take it as a personal affront.

I am bothered, however, by the vitriol that people are willing to spew towards such a well-meaning young lady. I’ve seen her be immature occasionally, but on the whole she seems like a lovely girl. Certainly far more grounded then the majority of the Hollywood population. Are those of you going out of your way to put her down incapable of separating the product from the artist, or do you just like being unkind? If you don’t like her, don’t go read about her on the internet. It’s not brain surgery. Posting snarky comments on random articles on her is just pathetic.

I love the internet, but sometimes it makes you wonder if a basic sense of courtesy is well-and-truly dead…

What a brilliant idea!! All those little babies will goo-goo to sleep while soft, little tinkling melodies from “Love story” wash through their subconscious dream states:
    …..de-de-dee dee, da-dah-dah DAH-da ….”I close my eyes, na-na-nah-na …”

Anti-Taylor forces are boycotting, saying it’s a devious plot wherein the little ones will be genetically programmed to love Taylor Swift music, particularly songs from her first 2 albums. When the children turn 10, unexplained mass impulse buying will occur and FEARLESS will shoot back up the charts to #1 again.
    DASTARDLY DEEDS INDEED!

This just in!! Carrie Underwood’s marketing people have just released a line of “go-to-sleep-little buckaroo” music boxes, featuring “Temporary Home” and other lullabies.

I doubt that the little ones will be genetically programmed to love Taylor Swift music. I think they’ll probably end up in therapy when they’re adults for being subjected to cruel and unusable punishment when they were babies.

Seriously, chill out. It’s instrumental. Basically sounds like a child’s mobile or something but to the tune of Taylor Swift. I don’t think it will be harming any children.
