CMT Hosts Predict CMT Music Awards Winners
Everybody's got their own ideas about who will walk away with the night's top honors, including CMT hosts Katie Cook, Cody Alan and Evan Farmer. I’m beyond sad to see the level CMT reached to tonight to “entertain” viewers! The presenters are not funny. They are crude and rude. But, the little drinking skit pushed me over the edge. Watching celebrities drink alcohol on television is downright appalling! Tsk tsk CMT!

I must agree with the others, this years CMT Awards was completely ridiculous. Sorry to admit though that I did watch it all the way through just to see if it could get any worse…and it did. Between the drinking, cussing, crude and sexual comments, I don’t what was the worse part about it. “Trash” definitly springs to mind, if asked what word would describe this years CMT Awards show.

I truly feel that Carrie Underwood is overrated! I feel there are better country singers than her. Yes, she is a great singer, I just don’t feel that she is country enough and the true country singers are getting a raw deal. There are many greats out there, Carrie should move over for them!

Congratulations to CARRIE, MIRANDA, KEITH, LADY A, LUKE AND BLAKE/TRACE. You ALL deserved your awards and had great performances. I loved that the show was not dominated by just one artist. However, I do agree that the Jersey “folks” and Kid was a little out there, but you have to remember people that CMT is owned by MTV. Just be thankful there was no rap this year!

I think Taylor`s fans are mostly pop fans who did not bother to watch the show or voted at all. I think they are distracted by the new “IT” pop sensation Justin Beiber and also Katy Perry`s new song.
Carrie was awesome as always of her performance. Great performer. I am happy right now; I am not complaining.

Hated the show format (the host and some of the presenters they had bussed in) but this particular awards shows seems to be the poor relation everyone cringes about. It’s always been a bit lower class than the others so nothing really surprised me but the performances were excellent. Don’t have a complaint about the winners. They all deserved it and I’m especially glad for Miranda and Keith. Their fans should be proud that even up against massive fan bases of other artists, they pulled it off. Now that’s love!

Wanda, I think we noted your feelings the first time you posted them and I disagree. I don’t let Leann’s personal life interfere with an objective assessment of her performance. She did a great job. The girl has some pipes, that’s for sure.

I’m convinced they purposely keep Keith Urban’s performances until the end, because I completely tuned out after he graced the stage with his awesomeness. The musical performances were good for the most part (Toby got ahead of his band, Carrie’s mic was out at the beginning…those things weren’t so great), but what’s with all the others doing these crazy skits and everything? The only “comedy” routine I enjoyed was Reba…because she’s Reba. Why waste time on these other meaningless, unfunny sketches, then have great voices like Martina and Trisha left to read from a teleprompter? I would’ve much rather had those sketches cut (and TO’s waste of airtime) and let people like Martina or Trisha do what they do best - sing their hearts out on stage. Kudos to Keith for his awareness for the oil spill, as well. He just keeps getting better. But I definitely could’ve done with a little less talk (from people who don’t know the least bit about most of these singers) and a lot more singing.

Taylor Swift is one of the only country music stars whose album sales have declined, while touring. I think that speaks volumes. Her fans are finally waking up! And what? NO awards. Enough said.

Kid ROCK did a great job hosting the show if he wasnt on the show you can bet HANK JR wouldnt have been there a true country music legend and all of the performers did a great job. and if you got tell your children what getting drunk is. you u are living a very sheltered life . I’m old kiddo and I loved the original of that song but I can also appreciate when someone else changes it up a bit. And what does Leann’s personal life have to do with you? I have been a long time fan of the CMT music awards and was very disappointed in last night’s show. My husband and I wanted to turn it off after the first few minutes. It was nothing but a big joke and definitely did not portray “country music”. It was a disgrace to country music fans. I get the concept of being more modern, but this was to an extreme. The artists looked horrified in what was happening before them and very unclear of what they were supposed to do/say. It was unorganized and an embarrassment!!!

I am sick of CMT after the SICK show that should have been rated. My kids were so eagar to enjoy the show. We made popcorn and the family settled down in front of the tv…and then came ALL the garbage! The drinking, smoking, sex talk !!! I made my kids get up and leave the room. I was so embarrassed. My little girl left the room crying because she had waited ALL day to enjoy the awards show. THE SHOW SHOULD HAVE BEEN RATED R !!!

This was the WORST production of the CMT Award show EVER. CMT needs to fire the producers that decided to put on a show that was such a disgrace to country music. Kid Rock as a host was a joke, having the dude look like Reba was STUPID!! I am glad i DVR’d because i watched the whole thing in 30 minutes. I think MTV Networks needs to understand there target market a little better. I miss the CMT the way it was 10 years ago it dealt more with Country music hence the name “COUNTRY MUSIC TELEVISION” Now they have all these repeat shows like extreme make over, movies like police academy, naked gun. What the hell does that have to do with Country music.

My sister said she missed the show, but was hoping to catch it when it aired again. I told her not to bother. It would take me forever to express all that was wrong with that show. Kid Rock? Jersey Shore? I agree with the others - even the performers looked disgusted with the whole thing.
