ACM Awards Could Be Leaving Las Vegas

Lady AntebellumI don't know where you go once you've outgrown Las Vegas. But according to the Las Vegas Sun, the city's leaders think it may be time for the Academy of Country Music Awards show to move out of town. Even the ACM Executive Director Bob Romeo admitted, "It's a crazy thing to say we've outgrown Las Vegas, and when we moved there six years ago I wouldn't believe I would have ever said that. But the truth is, we have a dilemma in that we don't have enough seats to satisfy our needs." The venue that the show was in this year only seats 11,000, whereas a place like Cowboys Stadium in Texas can hold 56,000-60,000. Surely there must be some venues in between in other cities that they are considering. But there are the artists to consider, too. "They love coming to Las Vegas. Kix Brooks can meet Keith Urban at Craftsteak (at MGM Grand), then hit the craps tables. Spouses can go shopping, you can see a show and have great dining, all in very close proximity. We listen to our artists, too, because without them there is no show," he added.

Could the ACM’s consider stepping into CMA territory and come to Nashville when the new Convention Center opens?

Personally i think it would be really cool 2 have them outdoors in open forests in different spots around the USA where bands can camp out in there motorhomes and fans can also & everyone can mingle.Mark my words’the music industry is gonna change in a big way down the road’frankly’i think its an insult 2 charge so much 4 tickets & 8 to 10 dollars or more 4 a can of pop or beer ‘and i assure U i am not alone in this train of thought’many fans feel exploited due2 this’Buffalo has free concert all summer long’ill sing 4 free

It doesn’t matter to me where they move. I live in Oregon so they’ll never be anywhere near me so I’ll never get to go. I’ll just have to enjoy them from the comfort of my living room couch!
