Stop the Presses: Willie Nelson Cuts His Hair!
The Gulf of Mexico is filling up with oil, this country is still bogged down in two wars, the nation's economy is in a tangle, and the web this morning is abuzz about -- the fact that a 77-year-old man cut his hair!
Yessir, it's a fact. Willie Nelson, the venerable country music patriarch, trimmed his -- as the Philadelphia Inquirer described it, "lengthy, reddish pigtails" -- hair. It's not as if it's the first time. This does happen more often than you think. But still. ... As Willie said on his website, this is "the haircut heard around the world." And as USA Today's headline proclaims, "What do you think of Willie Nelson's new haircut?"
And stop the presses again! The web is now abuzz about the fact that Lindsay Lohan is being mentioned as a possible star in a new Willie movie! "Li-Lo," as the web lovingly oft refers to the substance-loving lovely, has reportedly been offered the role of "Lieutenant Peterson" in a projected Willie comedic property titled The Dry Gulch Kid. Fresh from wrapping a role in the Robert Rodriguez "Mex-ploitation flick" Machete, she is now available for work. So maybe Li-Lo, with her adorable new alcohol-monitoring SCRAM ankle bracelet, can hang with Willie and inspire many more news stories aplenty. The web world awaits. With bated breath.

i cant even remember Willie without long hair…it was kinda sad to see it gone….but hair didnt make Willie. Willie made Willie. Looking good my friend!!!!!

Wow! He looks so different, but it’s all good. He can do whatever he pleases with his hair, so long as he keeps putting out the great music.
BTW, I figured out where Willie’s leftover hair went. Check out the accompanying picture from the article about Gill, Paisley, Skaggs, and Wariner playing the Ryman. Ricky appears to be going for the Ben Franklin look these days.
