Miranda Lambert Contest Labeled a Soup'r Success
Why weren't there any cool prizes like this when I was in elementary school? St. Matthew Catholic School, a private school in the suburbs of Omaha, won a day with Miranda Lambert. They saved their 100,000 Campbell's Soup labels, entered online and voila! All the kindergarten through 8th grade students were there, and before she sang a couple of songs in the gym, Lambert did a Q&A session with the kids, who were as enamored with bass player Aden Bubeck's mohawk as they were with Lambert herself. The contest was part of the Artist Ambassador Program, which is part of the Labels for Education program. That's the one where all the students save their labels and then the school can use them for playground equipment, educational resources, musical instruments and the occasional visit from the ACM Top Female Vocalist of the Year.
