Luke Bryan Never Plays the Same Show Twice
I have a very long list of reasons why I like Luke Bryan and his music. But at the very top of that list is his rowdy, spontaneous and authentically country live show. I see concert after concert from big country singers who take the stage and just go through the motions, like they've been doing it exactly the same for so long they have forgotten how to stray from the script. But I have to say, Bryan's show is the exact opposite of that. It's never the same show twice.
He was in Chicago this weekend, doing two nights at a big country bar. Now keep in mind this is a bar where I have seen countless country shows. So I've heard almost every artist do the same cover songs over and over. ("You Never Even Called Me By My Name," "Folsom Prison Blues," "Family Tradition") and all the classic rock songs that are so popular to cover these days. Good stuff, but c'mon. Isn't it time to get some newer covers in the mix? Bryan must think so, because he did an excellent take on Brooks & Dunn's "Play Something Country." It's only about five years old, but I think that's time enough to dust a good tune off and give it a go during your show.
After his Chicago dates, Bryan was headed to Hollywood, where he'll be making his very first appearance on The Tonight Show on Tuesday night (May 11), where he'll be singing "Rain Is a Good Thing."

My friends and I love Luke Bryan. We especially like the song “Country Man.” We go to the public facilities and tap our foot twice while listening to the song on our Walkmen .

Saw Luke Bryan when he opened for Jason Aldean in SLC and he blew him out of the water. Sounded so much better and just like this article said seemed much more into his performance. PS- to Jen Italia.. Walkmen? I havent heard that in years! I might dust off mine

Not to be negative or anything, but I hate hearing Luke sing. He sings straight through his nose and it’s very annoying. “Do I” is a great song that is distracted by his nasal singing. Although he does seem to sing in key, he needs to use his diaphram and stop sending the sound through his nasal passages.
