Carrie Underwood Says No to After-Show Food

Posted: April 23rd, 2010 at 1:57 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Carrie UnderwoodSo that's Carrie Underwood's magic bullet? She doesn't eat after-show food? That's what she told Us Weekly about how she keeps her body looking so great. That, and she doesn't eat out at restaurants. So it's not some crazy South Beach or Zone diet she's on. It's just these three simple rules to a Carrie Underwood body: 1.) Don't ever eat out. 2.) Get up and work out. 3.) Make a conscious effort. She also admitted, "I think the hardest thing about what I do is eating [healthy] because we're all over the place. It's fast food, there's after-show food, you get pizza, whatever." I don't know if I could ever live by those hard and fast rules, but it's sure working for Underwood. She does say that every once in a while, if she has a day off, she might go to a restaurant, but reiterates, "No after-show food." OK, OK. We get it. Going to bed hungry means you wake up skinny. My diet starts tonight.

Good for her. Fast food is disgusting and eating out, you never know what’s in it. Making your own food is way more rewarding, not to mention healthy.

Home cooking is and always will be better than eating out. I just wish my home cooking was really healthy, good for you cooking all of the time, then I might be skinny like Carrie.

I think she meant she doesn’t eat crappy after show food - I know it’s tough because I’m on the road alot and you do tend to eat fattier less healthy food - if you grab food on the run - I found that at the gas station stores the healthiest things you can buy is a banana and peanuts, but you have to wash the salt off the peanuts - it’s hard to eat healthy - the other thing I do when I travel is buy at grocery stores instead of restaurants

I hope we do hear alot about the wedding. Now with that said, I think Carrie just eats healthy and it is very hard to eat healthy at restaurants. Too much hidden fat in food. Carrie looks great so it must be working for her.

It is the best way to be healthy is to watch what you eat and cook your own. Good for Carrie. I wish Allison would blog about Carrie`s phenominaland compelling performance of Change at Idol Gives Back with passion and emotion and flawless vocals. That`s the reason why she won EOTY award and 18.5 millions viewers watched. What an entertainer and artist she is and what a voice. I am a proud Carrie fan. A very down to earth, humble and grateful, generous and always looks back from her beginnings inspite of fame and money. Sorry for gloating but I am just stating the facts.

Good for her. She seems to take great care of her body, which is especially important for people with such demanding lives.

But I do agree with the person that said this is a somewhat silly blog topic, considering all that is going on in Carrie’s life. She’s getting glowing reviews for her tour, just became the first woman ever to win ETOY twice, and gave a beautiful, compelling performance of “Change.”

Why aren’t any of these topics newsworthy? I’m sure she would rather hear people discussing her music than her body.
