ACM Playlist: Entertainer of the Year's Female Winners
It is unofficially Country Girls Rule day. Carrie Underwood shattered the Academy of Country Music's glass ceiling Sunday night (April 18) when she gladly and giddily accepted the coveted entertainer of the year award. She is the first female to ever win the big award twice. So to celebrate, I went through the way-too-short list of women who have won it in years past and made a playlist of some of my favorite songs from Nashville's favorite girls.

I live on the West coast and don’t think it’s fair that we can’t vote during the show. I understand that the show is live on the East coast and rebroadcast on the West coast but because of this they shouldn’t have live voting. What if the majority of the West coast are Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, or Zac Brown fans?

Timcun…you could vote for EOTY on the website for weeks before the show. It wasn’t just a text vote. If you wanted to vote you should have gone to the website. I understand how that sucks though. West Coast always gets screwed.

CONGRATULATIONS CARRIE!!! I’m so exicited that she won EOTY. Even though she didn’t win Best Female Vocalist, I’m glad that Miranda Lambert won. I know Carrie was very happy for Miranda getting the award. Carrie is a fan of her work. All the performance last night was great except for Taylor Swift. Sorry but she just can not sing/perform. I can’t wait to go see Carrie live next month in Vegas.

Yes I know that the voting on-line has been open for weeks. I just don’t think it’s fair that the West coast couldn’t text a vote while the show was on.

Congrats to Carrie! I was hoping that she, Keith, or Brad would take home the Entertainer trophy, so I was really excited when she won! The awards were great last night.

Congratulations to all. At last country music fans get to vote for country music singers. Carrie Underwood did fabulous job singing her number 1 hit.. Temporary Home. Her voice was great, her emotions were clear and her thanking GOD for her success was great. Singing with only a guitar and violinist and her voice was outstanding. Taylor on the other hand brough in a group of singers to sing along with her. That was good thinking Taylor, they drowned your voice out. Great effects!!!! We need more originality and keep it country folks..

So happy for Carrie:) But I must say, I’m glad Miranda won FVOTY. Her voice is the best. The tone of her voice is softer than Carrie’s, who, my God, has a range! I love both of them, but prefer Miranda’s voice.

Oh, and congrats! Carrie and Miranda! Both earned well deserved awards.
