Shania Twain's New TV Show Asks, "Why Not?"
This new Shania Twain docu-series, Why Not? With Shania Twain, has been all over the news lately. With everything she's been through lately, like her ugly divorce that was a gift straight from tabloid hell, I think she's perfectly poised to inspire other people who are trying to survive similar struggles. And guess who's on board? Oprah Winfrey. So you know it will thrive. The hour-long show will be on the Oprah Winfrey Network and is being promoted as "a powerful new series in which she opens up about her life-altering heartbreak and how she's moving on. We'll follow her as she begins her climb back to the top." Last week, Twain told Winfrey in an interview, "I feel like in a way I'm starting over, with everything." But so far, what I've been really loving are the answers that fans (and a few haters) have posted when asked, "What helps you get over the bad stuff?" People have recommended everything from God and prayer to psychologists and mini-vacations to watching the ocean and a good long cry. I hope Twain takes the time to read the comments any time she feels like she needs a you-go-girl boost.

Twain can kiss any credibility she had in the music world goodbye. This is a bad idea that will hurt the singer’s career in the long run.
ylewis says:
I wish she would come back to her music!!! start singing again and topping the charts!!! I dont understand why she is going that direction? she needs to be singing!!!Its been a long wait and were still waiting!
Come on Shania get back to making music!!!! we love ya!
J.J. says:
Since none of us has a crystal ball it would be incredibly careless to say they knew if this latest career move was a bad idea or not. Time will tell.
Robin says:
Shania can do what she wants to. She’s a grown woman. Maybe she’s not ready to make music again. When she’s ready, she’ll let us know. I hope we are all still ready when she is.
Samantha says:
I miss her music :(
Yvonne Kocins says:
Hi Shania! I have been listening to your music for years since you started out. I went through a messy divorce too! It dose take time. I look forward to watching you! On Why Not! I am from Ontario but i live in BC now and love the Mountains and fresh air and people here! I am trying to get on as a Fan Member but I can’t get through? Is there an address I can write to? Thanks I love you Shania you have my support!
maria chavez says:
just sing, or stay home. you’ve always said you don’t like the spotlight.
leave it at that says:
This is sad. The number 1 record selling female artist of all time stoops to reality tv. A lot of us went thru divorce and adultery. We didn’t feel the need to turn our lives into a soap opera because of it. And that guy friend of hers makes it worse following her around like a little puppy. He looks like a charity case and Shania felt sorry for him because of her X-husband taking the guy’s wife. I’m sorry; I used to like her but; this takes it for me.
sue burchett says:
like her or not, i bet you’ll be watching.
Angel says:
Well……….Mutt made her what she became. He packaged her and sent her out to sing and make him some money. And since her divorce, it’s been devastating for her and she has lost her ‘desire’ and confidence in herself. I am NOT a big fan of reality tv shows. I think it all started with OZZY because he was hilariously funny to watch! It was like watching a comedy show more than anything. The rest are just rip offs and not all that great. Society has changed and for some reason have become nosy so the reality tv shows provide a way for people to be stalkers anonymously. More or less. I think you just have to look at the motivation behind the shows. People who aren’t famous have suffered just as much but do they get a reality show? Sorry, just doesn’t impress me. But, out of curiosity? Yeah I will check out WHY NOT. I think her motivation is to help people and herself. So, it isn’t just THERE to BE there. It has a purpose. MHO.
