The Making of Laura Bell Bundy's Country Video
Whenever I see a "making of" for a music video, I'm always a little impressed. Impressed that they can create a short film in about a day or two. But when I saw this one for Laura Bell Bundy's "Giddy On Up," I was shocked. There is so much happening in just three and a-half minutes. The girl dancers, the cowboys, the costumes, the horse and -- oh, yeah -- the singing. This one has a pretty elaborate set, too. With scenes in an old-time saloon, a bedroom and outside in a Western town. So this video is like a five-minute art appreciation class. Director Shane Drake talks on camera about what he was going for. "We were trying to match the era with some sort of a modern spice to it so that it still has a contemporary relevance to it," he says, adding that he had to capture Bundy's character, charisma and personality. After watching this video and the end result, I have to say, "Mission accomplished." The "Giddy On Up" video has been streamed nearly 1 million times in one month. Bell Bundy's first all-country album, Achin' & Shakin', will be available on April 13.

Mark says:
A direct slam of Carrie and Cowboy Cassanova
merlefan49 says:
I’ve seen her do the worst Tina Tuner imitation I’ve ever seen on her official website
NOT HAPPY! says:
Hate the song and video!! TOO TRASHY!
Illinoiscountrygirl says:
Well, somebody likes it, it’s been streamed one million times, ha, ha!
Dennis says:
McDonalds has sold well over a million burgers too…
Shadow says:
I like it when I read silly statements about how much something sells or is streamed. This gal is being promoted right now, she better be getting interest. If that doesn’t happen, it means you mainstreamers aren’t doing your job by liking what’s being pushed your way.
Think I’ll go to McDonald’s now. I mean they sell the most, so they must be the best, right?
Me says:
It is not a slam against Carrie Underwood. Its more of a broadway show. Dont need to worry about every little thing…or people have to walk on egg shells around her heinous. I like CU…but now no one else can use show girls in their videos otherwise its a slam? Carrie doesnt dance does she? Well Then Carrie and McDonalds have something in common too Dennis.
Me says:
Fun video why is everyone so harsh all the time. Maybe people are watchin this cause its finally someone different than CU or TS! Others deserve a chance too. Video is enjoyable.
Me says:
Its not any trashier than the way some of the tradional country artists lived their lives ;)
Maurine says:
I like the video. It’s different than Carrie’s.
Laura is a fierce dancer and a great singer. I’m looking forward to her album.
BarbieB says:
This video actually is wonderful. I disagree with whoever posted about a direct slam of CU’s video. LBB’s video shows real talent - real creativity, real dancing, real singing and real talent! Eat your heart out!
Robin says:
Maybe it’s because my daughter is a professional dancer, but Bundy is not a “great” dancer. She is “ok”. She is on Broadway because of her voice and she’s a great comedic actress. (ie. the kicks are terrible) Anyway, I don’t really care about that. I like the video and think it’s funny as that’s really what I think she has to offer (a singing Minnie Pearle (kind of like Pickler)). But I do find it funny that some are carrying on that she’s such a wonderful dancer. I’m not even sure she’s trying to be or “thinks” she is.
LeAnn Rhimes (”Nothing Better To Do”) did a much better job in “actually” dancing. Carrie wasn’t even trying to dance, she was just moving with her dancers.
NOT HAPPY! says:
I agree everyone deserves a chance! For me personally- I don’t like her voice or the video! I am just giving my opinion and not bashing her! I AM NOT A FAN!
Paul in Knoxville says:
Carrie’s fans seem to be having the biggest problems with her. I bet Carrie loves her. Laura Bell Bundy is here to stay! She’s cute. The personality is fantastic. She has whatever it is. ;)
Kevin is lovin it! says:
I think the video is great…love the song, love the video, love the dancers. When this video comes on I stop what I’m doing and watch…very few videos make me do that!
I don’t tend to be as big a fan of female singers, don’t seem to like a lot of their vocals, but I enjoy her voice and I think she’s an excellent singer.
All I can say is great job Laura and team…keep it up!
