Justin Moore Fan Gets Drunk, Steals His Guitar
Even though Justin Moore isn't the biggest baddest country singer out there, he does sound pretty convincing in his "I Could Kick Your Ass." So I don't know that I'd try to get away with stealing his Gibson J-45 guitar right off the stage. But that's what happened on Friday (March 12) at a show in Michigan. He'd just finished playing and ran backstage. "Then, when I came back to the bus, my road and production managers told me my guitar had been stolen. I thought they were playing a joke on me! Come to find out, a fan just walked on stage after the show and grabbed it," Moore said. So he did what any helpless victim would do: he notified his Twitter followers at 1:00 in the morning. "Great show in Mi tonight. But somebody stole my guitar off stage. Please own up. It means more to me than you know. Dont be a (expletive). Do right." Ultimately, Moore got his guitar and an apology. It said, "Look, man, I (expletive) up major, man. It was a drunken mistake. I love your music so much!! God will get me for what I have done. Well, hope to see you in MI soon. But I would like to deeply and sincerely apologize for what I've done. Like your wonderful song, 'How I Got to Be This Way,' we all make mistakes. ... I'm going out and buying 50 of your CDs today. I hope and pray you have a wonderful and long career." No word on whether or not the thief made good on his 50 CDs promise, but I think just coming clean was the right thing to do.
