In the world premiere of his "Turning Home" video, David Nail explores the familiar small-town theme as someone who's moved away. Moved away, maybe, but not moved on. In the black-and-white video, he seems to have a pretty interesting life as an entertainer, but he still finds himself looking back. Co-written by Kenny Chesney and Scooter Carusoe, some of the memories are predictable, but they're approached in a thoughtful way that focuses more on the effect than the act of growing up. Yet his first town, his first friends and his first love are things that he's never been able to top. When the band ends up in the auditorium of his Kennett, Mo., high school, Nail knows that even though those days are gone, he'll still keep trying to get them back.
