Carrie Underwood's Walk With God

Posted: March 4th, 2010 at 3:21 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Carrie UnderwoodLet's see. Carrie Underwood has had hit songs that mention Jesus taking the wheel, a Bible in case you lose your way, a revelation coming around and how Earth is just a temporary home. So could she be poised for a career as a Christian rocker or gospel singer someday? I doubt it. But she does admit that not only is she very spiritual but her fiancé, Mike Fisher, has improved her walk with God. "It's important to me because down the road, I want someone who will help shape our kids into people who make the world a better place," she says. Having that kind of faith in God and each other will certainly get the Underwood-Fisher marriage off to a blessed start.

Carrie is Christian and she already rocks. Carrie’s performances at the Grand Ole Opry are spirit-filled when she sings an old Gospel tune. Carrie’s devotion to The Lord is evident in those performances, she respects the GOO and the history and its reflected in her performances. Don’t sell Carrie short on her ability to go in any direction she is lead by The Lord for her career. Carrie loves country and is The Female Country Music Ambassador, always bringing people to the genre.

Carrie is amazing and not afraid to state her faith in God. I think she has a God given talent. She is truly a wonderful, caring person. She represents country music at its best! I wish her and Mike a wonderful future together.

Carrie is and amazing young women to be standing up for her faith as she does. She knows that even though there are ruff and hard times that God will always see her through. One day i hope that i’ll be able to spesd and share my faith in God just as much as she does.!!!!!

What I like is that she is in touch with God, but also supports borderline pornography, destruction of someones personal property and one night stands. It’s wonderful.

What I especially like about Carrie (besides the gorgeous voice, her ability to really, truly sing, her dry sense of humor and maintaining her privacy), is the fact that she doesn’t preach. She’s always alluded her faith was important to her. The little I heard about Mike always focused on how religious he is. They have a wonderful foundation and they are not preaching to people. I’m glad they both share their belief in God. It’s wonderful.

I love the way she shamelessly uses her faith to appeal to fans. Then turns around and dances on stage in short-shorts.

Stuart…don’t twist things. Videos and songs do not mean the artist supports thos things but it does show that it happens which is a fact of life. IT is just telling a story of what has happened in someone’s life somewhere. Lighten up!

Carrie has an amazing voice and she is a wonderful entertainer!! The fact she doesn’t hide her faith is awesome! Keep doing what you are doing Carrie! You’re the best!

I guess the people here who provide negativity, don’t know that we’re not suppose to judge. How do you know what is in someone’s heart? Keep your comments to yourself and you might be a better person.

Keep saying it, Carrie is the real deal…nothing fake about her. She is not in the business only for profit and fame, she wants to make a difference. I wish she would consider putting out a Gospel Album one day. The ones I heard her sing are so touching and beautiful sung…Amazing Grace for one!

As for the negative comments..don’t know what your reasons are, but you should really know what your talking about before you blog..because there is no substance to your comments.

LOL @ Ashley…because wearing short shorts and talking about faith are totally related *roll eyes* ….Carrie is amazing and this just helps to prove that.

Ashley-we truly know who you are a fan of. Carrie is an entertainer and she can pull it off and it doesn’t change her beliefs-not like some artist that can’t sing, swings hair, and strums her guitar. Carrie thanks God for everything she is honored for. We are proud of you Carrie-don’t ever change!

There is nothing shameful about faith Ashley. Miss Underwood has the voice of and angel and God given talent.A most special gift to Country Music. Carrie is an artist that is not ashamed or embarassed to aknowledge God and be grateful for all she has received. Her constant compassion and generousity to both human and animals is well documented. God has blessed Carrie and will continue to bless her everyday of her life. Faith is a virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God’s will. That perfectly defines Miss Carrie Undewood.

I totally agree Carrie is always thanking God for everything in her life. And as we all know Carrie can sing anything that she sets her mind to.I also hope that one day she will do a gospal album. When I heard her sing “How Great Thou Art”I cried.Carrie is an amazing singer and when she sings songs like that, you can not help but cry.She puts so much feeling into all her songs. As for wearing short shorts and doing songs and videos that she has done, have any of you negative people ever heard the word acting, that is what Carrie is doing.I am proud to be a Carrie fan and so very happy Carrie chose country music to sing and very proud that she has brought so much greatness to country music.

faith. I think that Ashley should keep her comments to herself. Please vote for Carrie for Entertainer of Year
    which she deserves.

Carrie, hats off to you for staying true to who you are. I get sick of hearing about stars talking about their sex life, or other people mentioning it. How degrading that is!! Know your parents and fans are very proud of you, for keeping your standards so high!! Wish Mike and you all the best!!!

Carrie’s mom said that Carrie is one person on stage and performing and another person in real life ! Her mom said it was 2 different people. So it explains when she is poerforming!

I think Christians are sometimes misunderstood. They are often portrayed as uptight, straight laced pruds. And some are. But the majority are fun loving, compassionate, non-judgemental people who just do the best they can to honor God. The extremes of any religion is not the true portrayal of that religion. Carrie Underwood brings to both country music and christianity a face of someone who represents the reality. You can be cool, classy, successful, stylish, respected,talented………..ect, and still be country and christian. That’s the reality not the stereotype.

It is reported Adam and Eve wore little to no clothes. What has what you wear got to do with being a Christian. I belive it is how you love God and your neighbor that is important to God. That is what He said to do when he left earth.

The thing about Carrie condoning “destruction of someones personal property” is that she publicly declared that she DIDN’t condone it, way back when the BHC video first came out. She was actually afraid to release that song, lest she be judged by it. But everyone got over it because most people with common sense know it’s just acting. She is a performer on a stage, entertaining people. If everything was roses and butterflies and hugs and kisses, it would get quite boring. You have to mix it up a little. And know not to take it seriously.
