Blake Shelton Announces Miranda Lambert's ACM Nominations
"Miranda Lambert! Miranda Lambert! Miranda Lambert!" That's what it sounded like yesterday (March 2) when Lambert's boyfriend -- country singer Blake Shelton -- was on in New York announcing her nominations for three Academy of Country Music awards. "Having Blake along with the amazing Reba say my name three times on CBS's The Early Show ... was so cool," Lambert said afterwards. She actually has six ACM nominations, but only three of them were among those announced on television. She admitted that it's always a great surprise and to get even one nomination, so six must feel five times better. She is up for top female vocalist of the year, album of the year, single record of the year, song of the year and video of the year. (She has two nominations in the song category as the artist and co-writer of "White Liar.") My predictions? She should and she will take home at least three of those.

I love Miranda Lambert’s music. She is so talented in her songwriting on her albums. I am glad that she is getting the recognition that she deserves. She pours her heart and soul into every song that she sings.

Hopefully she takes the Female Vocalist award. She truly deserves it. Seems like she gets passed over for any awards, first by Carrie and now by Taylor.

I like Miranda but the best female vocalist in that group is Carrie Underwood and hopefully the academy will get it right for the fourth time consecutively.

Kate sounds like the typical Carrie fan…can’t say anything nice about anyone without saying Carrie is better. And saying that the academy is “right” if they vote Carrie, and if it’s not Carrie, then it’s wrong. I hope so bad that Miranda wins.

I will be happy if Carrie or Miranda wins. They are both good vocalist and they are good friends. I would prefer Carrie to win though. I am a die hard fan.

LeAnn– 95% of Carrie fans are very classy and show respect to all artists. Carrie wouldn’t want to know that her fanbase is rabid and attacks other fanbases and artists.
As for Miranda Lambert: I really hope she takes Single of the Year, Video of the Year, and Song of the Year (even though I’m sure that one will go to Carrie or Taylor). I still think Carrie’s going to take FVOTY, though. Between the success of “Cowboy Casanova”, “Temporary Home”, the Superbowl performance, her own holiday special, etc., it’s hard to see how she won’t.

So cute that Blake got to announce Miranda’s noms. I’ve got my fingers crossed for her. She’s so talented and she writes so much of her material. I love her because of that talent and she’s so unique. Boy, when you hear a Miranda song, you don’t have to ask who it is.

Leann, you did the same thing judging Kate’s one comment. I like all the nominees. I am not a big fan of Taylor but I respect her. I love Carrie, but I would love to see Reba win something for the success of Consider Me Gone.
To all the Miranda fans, I have a strong filling the ACM awards will finally be Miranda’s night. I don’t know why. Between all the critical acclaim and the success of White Liar, I feel like she would be idolized. Time will tell though.

I love carrie but Miranda deserves 2 get some of these awards.Its about time she gets some reconition.It seems like every time shes in the same catagory as carrie or taylor they always win.I hope she will get @ least 3 awards.
