Kenny Chesney's Career Heated Up With '97 Video
You may not know this about CMT.com, but the archives here run pretty deep. So you can have a flashback to, say, 1997, and soak up all the country videos you want from that era. I remember 1997 well because it was right around that time that I discovered country music even had videos. And one of my favorites was this Kenny Chesney one for "She's Got It All," his first song to hit No. 1. It's 13 years old, and I know we've come a long way since then, but you've got to love the concept of Chesney singing from the hot sauce label. And, yes, his love interest is rocking a chambray peasant skirt. And, yes, Chesney was a little younger, a little more playful and looks like he definitely borrowed an outfit from George Strait for the scene in the bar. But what has not changed one bit is Chesney's distinctive voice. Even back then, his staying power was obvious.

He looks so young in that picture. I didn’t start listening to Country music until I married my husband. My first recollection of Kenny was when the song “I Go Back” came on the radio while we were driving home. I remember telling my husband that I didn’t know who the guy singing was but loved the song and his voice.

Before spray on tanning and chest hair removal and employing a trainer. Now that is what shot Chesney to stardom, IMO! Oh yeah, some of his earlier songs might have helped. lol!

He does work out with a trainer and either shaves or waxes his chest but he said the tan is real. With as much time as he spends in the islands I believe him.

I’ve only been listening to country for the last 4 to 5 years but Kenny’s the one who made me fall in love with country music now I even enjoy some of the older stuff his and other artist.
I agree the tans real the workouts are real you don’t get arms and abs like his sitting in front of the tv eating chips. It works for him.
