Carrie Underwood Fetches Attention for Animals
I just celebrated the one-year anniversary of rescuing my dog from a friend in Nashville. And I wanted to yell from the mountaintops that rescue dogs are the best dogs. But now Carrie Underwood is doing it, so I don't have to. She's helping Pedigree with their sixth annual dog adoption drive so that more homeless dogs can find homes and more hungry dogs will be fed. "I can't imagine life without my dog, Ace. I've had a passion for animals my entire life. They're such sweet and gentle souls that love you just because you love them back." Underwood worked at a vet clinic when she was younger and still volunteers at a shelter when she is back in Oklahoma. Her rat terrier, Ace, appears in the public service announcement with Underwood. "He's smart and he's fun and makes me really appreciate all the little things in life because he is a little thing." Even if you can't adopt a dog, there are little things you can do. Like if you become a fan of Pedigree on Facebook, they will donate a bowl of food to a shelter dog.

Ace is an adorable dog and you can tell how much Carrie loves him. She has such a kind heart and continues to show her love and support for animals by endorsing their causes. I have been contemplating getting a dog and Carrie has really opened my eyes to the adoption program and it’s merits. Thanks Carrie you are an awesome young lady and an amazing talent as well.
