Taylor Swift's Personality Fits Her Greeting Cards

Posted: January 29th, 2010 at 3:41 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Taylor SwiftIf you've ever read Taylor Swift's blog, seen her talk to a reporter, met her and/or had her autograph something, you have an idea of her personality's voice. And now there are greeting cards that sound exactly like that voice. It's American Greetings' newest line of cards from Swift, so obviously they are going to sound like her. The company could've just slapped pictures of her on the cards, or lyrics from her songs, and called it a day. These sentiments, though, are genuinely Swift. With things like "Happy birthday/And I mean that in a screaming and jumping around kind of way!" "You believe that love can find you and last forever/And when you smile, I believe it, too." "Congratulations, Bday Girl!/You've officially been AWESOME for ____ years!" My favorite one says nothing on the front, and inside it just says "Here's a glittery card to remind you on your birthday, I'll always have your back -- and love you like family." Only one of them has lyrics buried inside, from "Fearless," when it says, "Capture it, remember it, 'cause I don't know how it gets better than this. Here's to this moment. Here's to you. Happy Birthday."

I saw a couple of them, and they look really sweet. Very sentimental and cute. It’s always interesting to see the other business ventures that artists get in to, like fragrances, clothes, dolls, books, etc. But this is the first type of greeting card outside the singing ones that I’ve seen.

Oscar…Fearless sold more cds than anyone in 2009 and she sold more cds in 2008 than anyone and she has the most downloads in history so I think we have heard her try to sing and we like it.

The cards are way too childish in my opinion and I for one will not be buying any of them.

Oscar…you don’t understand, nobody cares if YOU think she can’t sing. Millions of her fans around the world who bought her album clearly believe she can sing. Her album was well-received by the fans AND critics. Now if YOU don’t think she can sing, go away and don’t waste your time on her. You saying she can’t sing will not reduce her massive fan base or the general opinion that she’s super talented. Get it? Probably not. Haha.

I like the “Rebellion is what you make it one”, with the kitten sitting in the dog dish. Somewhat reminiscent of Taylor swiping the EOTY away from all the male Big Dawgs.

wehn it was the “Big Dawgs” that deserved it.
