Josh Turner's Music Moves the Furniture Around
During a recent visit to CMT, Josh Turner told me that the most popular comment he's heard from his fans since releasing "Why Don't We Just Dance" is that they're literally shoving their furniture against the wall and cutting a rug. The catchy song is the first single from Turner's upcoming album, Haywire, which arrives Feb. 9. The album includes a fine rendition of Don Williams' "I Wouldn't Be a Man," a song he calls "classic and timeless." The deep-voiced singer also said that he's striving to blend R&B and traditional country -- and that he doesn't mind all the groovy Barry White comparisons. Perhaps all those fans-turned-furniture movers should leave the bed right where it is. Watch the video for "Why Don't We Just Dance."
