Stephen King Casts Musicians in Ghost Brothers

Stephen KingIn a new theatrical collaboration from John Mellencamp and Stephen King titled Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, Rosanne Cash and Kris Kristofferson will be married. Mellencamp will be their son. Elvis Costello will be some sort of devil and King will play Uncle Steve. Sheryl Crow and several other singer-songwriters will be in there somehow, too. Only on Broadway, right? Not this time. This crazy scenario may take the stage someday, perhaps in Atlanta, but pretty soon it will be debuting right in your CD player, with an album produced by T Bone Burnett and a companion book. King and Mellencamp are an unlikely pair, that's for sure. But it makes me so curious to get my hands on this project -- one that King's Web site describes as an "experience more akin to listening to an old radio show with music."

If Roseanne Cash is part of this, I’m on it.
