Zac Brown Band's "Toes" Taps on the Dance Floor

Zac Brown Band's "Toes" is No. 1 on a list of the most requested country dance club songs in 2009. I can't picture that, but then again, I can't really picture dancing to any of the songs on the list. There are a lot of mid-tempo songs on it, and I am from the generation that thinks there are two kinds of dancing: fast and slow. So this gray area in the middle? Not for me. But if you're looking for fun music that makes people feel like getting their groove on, here is the rest of the list ranked by popularity and compiled from club owners, DJs and dance instructors: "Boots On," Randy Houser; "She's Country," Jason Aldean; "Cowboy Casanova," Carrie Underwood; "Wild at Heart," Gloriana; "Honky Tonk Stomp," Brooks & Dunn; "People Are Crazy," Billy Currington; "I Want a Cowboy," Reba McEntire; "Cheater, Cheater," Joey & Rory; and "Barefoot and Crazy," Jack Ingram.

I go line dancing at least once a week and love the dance to “Toes”. Also know dances to some of the other songs you listed. And some I don’t know the dances yet, but I’ll learn!

It is journalistically irresponsible for CMT to post this list without posting a link to the original GAC blog post where she got it from. There is an accepted practice to blogging and taking credit for bringing it to our attention when clearly the GAC blog had it first should not be tolerated.

My girlfriend and I purchased tickets for our 1st Anniversary to see the Zac Brown Band yesterday (1/30/2010) at the house of blues in West Hollywood. The parking attendant turned us away because they had no parking and that the restaurant we made reservation for was not open. He then told us to park at the hotel next door, they turned us away. Because of all the construction in the area we were not able to see you preform even though we had tickets. I will never go to that venue ever again. We were in a large group of people trying to find parking. Our memory of our 1st Anniversary is not what I’d hoped it to be. I did expect more from the House of Blues. I will tell any one who listens not to go to this venue.

    A bummed out fan !!
