Mickie James Tag Teams Wrestling, Country Music
How could we even consider ending the year without at least one more outsider announcing her country music intentions? Well, enter Mickie James. The WWE Diva (a fancy name for a female professional wrestler) has a country single coming in February and an album in March. But don't let her badass image fool you. James says she's written poetry and stories all of her life and played the violin in high school. She's done her homework, too. "As in any entertainment industry, you have to see the sheep in wolf's clothing and you have to be able to differentiate who's being real and who's just hopping on board for all the wrong reasons," she said of the ins and outs of Nashville. "Lucky for me, I'm very blessed to have come across some really, really good people and gotten them on my team." Let's hope she's for real and that the single is a real smackdown.

Well, considering how overrated she is in wrestling, I expect her to be just as crappy as a singer. And she’s very average in the looks department, so she’s not going to get by on that. Her music career will be just as unsuccesful as Amy Dumas, aka Lita, another skanky wrestler that thought she could sing.

Josie… you need to chill. That was something that happened over 10 years ago and Mickie publicly recognizes that it was a dumb move and denounces what she did. She was 19 for goodness sake. A lot of 19 year old do really stupid things due to lack of maturity. The human brain doesn’t completely gel until well into your 20s.
I think you need to step back and look at yourself.

She is talented. It takes physical conditioning and much training to be able to go out into the ring and put on a match day after day. Josie, ‘Cry me a river’. Mickie is one of the best people I have ever encountered / seen, and has extreme tallent. Why does it mattter to you what she does? I got so much to say about her I could write a 90 mile long page, so Ill keep it short and sweet. 10 years ago I was dormant from ever watching the WWE because of all the turmoil, and then my love of the Star Wars prequils during that era. Now that the new saga is over and even a few years past, I would just take a glance at Raw. But as soon as I noticed Mickie even CLOSER and seeing her perfomances, MAN she LIGHTS UP THAT RING, and I was extremely amzaed looking at the past matches of her as Alexis Laree. No wrestler has ever caught my attention as much as hers over my 30 year interest in wresteling. Also seeing her on Jenny Jones, who are thoes guys to judge? Are you realted to them Josie? Dont ever dought how people are going to be in the long run or what they are capable of becoming. Im eagarly awaiting to hear her musical performance. Considering the WWE is the Pop Music of wrestling…it might work out for this girl. Pop Country is known as the catch all genre for all of Pop music anyway.

Out of curiosity I googled this girl, because I’d never heard of her, and some obscene photos came up of her when she was obviously younger. Nashville doesn’t need trash like this. I hope CMT and the country media doesn’t support someone like this. I know I won’t.

I can tell all of you this; Mickie has a great team in Nashville with her and her writing is very good! The predicition will be that she is a nominee for the CMA new artist category for 2010.
I am not a wrestling fan but I do work in the music industry and I can tell you that Mickie’s drive and potential is far superior than any other artist I have seen in a long time.
With the merge of WWE and Nashville this should be a major hit!

Bobbi, those photo of Urban and Worley (I’m not a fan of either, BTW) were downright tame compared to Mickie James’. Those photos were downright obsene and let absolutely nothing to imagination. No lady shows herself in that manner. I have no respect for someone who shows themselves off more than like they’re at the gynecologist.
If someone I was a fan of (male or female) posed in such a manner, I wouldn’t approve either.
Furthmore, apon entering “Mickie James” in at youtube, there were other trashy examples of MJ lack of class. Wrestling in next to nothing with her breasts and buttocks nearly exposed, kissing, then grabbing another females crotch and proceeding to lick her fingers. All of this as children watched. Pure trash. Defend her all you want, but I will not support someone who does such things.

You realize everything she has done in wrestling was just acting right. Then again you wouldn’t know because you’ve never watched a wrestling match. hmmmmmmm how about the next friday around 8 p.m. that u have time u turn on some Friday Night Smackdown and watch this person in a match u know the same person you call trashy. Trust me Mickie is a great professional wrestler and has had a great career in the ring. Mickie James is a shining example of everything that is right with womens wrestling today, yes she posed nude, but we all need to take a couple things into account, first being that she was young, everybody makes mistakes when they are young, mistakes are the base of human learning, get over it, and the second thing to remember here, its the 21st century and after looking at the pictures, they are fairly tame compared to most of that kind of stuff out there, I for one have seen FAR worse on late night cable television, they arent as awful as Pam suggests, not nearly as bad. So good luck to you Mickie, Im sure that you will be a success.

Mickie James has given every indication that she is a class act where it counts. As a pro wrestler, she is an actress who can often play an “over the top” character. To judge her for that is absurd. What is lost in all this mean spirited criticism is her true nature as a kind individual. We don’t hear about enough stories like this:
