Yes, Virginia, There Is a Keith Urban
Don't believe in Santa? Tell that to the Keith Urban fan in Fortitude Valley near Brisbane, Australia. Last Saturday (Dec. 19), Urban was hanging out in Tym Guitars, trying out a few new ones, and settled on a $1,400 Maton model. While he was there, he noticed a young man playing with a guitar effects pedal, so Keith asked the store owner how much it cost. When the owner replied that the price was $450, Urban told him, "Put it on my card with the guitar." But Urban didn't want the kid to know about it until after he'd left. When he was leaving, Urban said "Merry Christmas" to the kid and then walked out of the store. "Was that Keith Urban? He said 'Merry Christmas' to me," the store owner recalls the young man saying. And then he told him, yes, and he'd just bought that pedal for you. I know Santa's not really real, but that story makes me at least believe in the magic of Christmas.

Robin says:
While that’s not feeding the hungry, it sure is awesome. It’s great to see someone who’s been given so much to give a little happiness to a kid who I’m sure couldn’t afford something that he would really like to have.
MiaT says:
I LOVE stories like this. !!! I know that Keith can afford to do this . But the point is that he did it! How cool would it be to do this for someone else. Just make someone happy. Keith got no fanfare but just made someone happy. What a great guy, and I wish Keith & his family a wonderful Christmas!
Ann Johnson says:
Not surprising, this is a man with a good, generous soul. You see it when he performs, you hear it when he sings his songs and when he pours his heart into playing his guitars. He has a love for music he would love everyone to share!!
Peg says:
Awww, what a great guy!! Just makes me LOVE him all the more.
Lioness says:
What a wonderful thing for Keith to do!! He and Nicole both have their charities they support, but to do something like this just warms my heart! God Bless you Keith for making someone’s Christmas extra special!
Shana says:
I wouldn’t be surprised if this one incident wasn’t his first act of being ‘Santa’ and I don’t doubt he’d do it again. Just by chance word got around and made a buzz. His generosity to his fans and those he meets on the streets, show just how humble and grateful he is. God Bless Keith and his loved ones! xo
Michelle R. says:
Not only is Keith an amazing entertainer, he is a great person too! That was such a nice thing for him to do. Just another reason why he is my favorite artist!
Kim says:
I am glad to see someone still does know the true meaning of Christmas. A gift from the heart and expecting nothing in return. I think many of us can learn a lot from him. Keith certainly has a big heart and lots of love for life. It shows in his generous gesture and the way he looks at his beautiful family. May God bless him and his family.
Susan says:
I’m so glad you brought this to light. So many people show little acts of kindness and no one but the recipient ever knows. I’m sure Keith had no idea that this story would end up on the internet but I’m glad it did. From what I’ve read about him, he seemed like a loving and generous man. Such a simple thing (and I’m sure the money meant nothing to him) probably made that kid’s Christmas. Way to go Keith!

Anita Wagner says:
The more I know about this man, the more smitten I am. Doesn’t hurt that I and my girlfriends were invited to come up front next to the stage during his concert in DC earlier this year. He knelt right in front of us and played to us at one point. (Swoon)
Rebecca Jean says:
Keith Urban is amazing! From his incredible talent on the guitar, writing and singing his music, not to mention his PERFORMANCES, to his positive energized affect he has on all of us that come in contact with him. God Bless You and your sweet family Keith, Merry Christmas!
Robyn says:
Do You Have Any New Songs Comming Out Soon??
Marvin says:
Well, what do you expect. He’s an aussie!!!!! I was at his last concert in Brissy on Saturday nightand he was so humble and couldn’t stop thanking his fans enough as well as his band and all his crew.(which he brought on stage!).

Kelly says:
Reading this just made my day! Keith has such a warm heart and I’ve heard about these sweet things he does, and it is so thoughtful! He is a wonderful man and deserves the best of luck in life and love. I don’t know of any other artist that does things like this without it being a publicity stunt. With Keith we all know he isnt doing this to get attention, but just because of his great heart. I love him, and hope to see him very soon.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone & Keith Urban.
What a fantastic man!
