Carrie Underwood Engagement Marries Country Music and Hockey
They've been hopelessly in love for years. Country music and professional hockey. And now it's official: They are going to tie the knot. Not the entire industries, per se, but a couple of their biggest players. According to Carrie Underwood's publicist, Underwood and Mike Fisher (a center for the Ottawa Senators NHL hockey team) are engaged. "I'm happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn't be happier," her publicist said. And although they have not set a wedding date, I'm pretty sure it will have to wait at least until the summer. Fisher's hockey season is not over until April 2010, and Underwood's tour will be in full swing at least through the end of May. Unless they did some kind of a quickie Vegas wedding (but this time she would definitely know her last name and wouldn't blame it on the Cuervo). No matter how or when they get married, I wish them a lifetime of happiness.

It’s funny how Carrie Underwood got engaged and nobody even cares (except CMT blogs lol). It doesn’t even make the first page of the entertainment news on google. I didn’t even see it on the entertainment section of the papers I read in the morning (NY Times, Newsday, NY Post). Yet there are numerous articles about Taylor performing at the grammys and Taylor’s upcoming special appearance in “Valentine’s day.” Haha very telling about who people care about and who people don’t care about.
