Taylor Swift Tops Evan Taubenfeld's Holiday List
Evan Taubenfeld spent three years as Avril Lavigne's lead guitarist so he knows bad girls. And he knows that he doesn't want one for Christmas. In this seasonal made-for-instant-Internet-fame tune, "Merry Swiftmas," Taubenfeld (who is also a singer-songwriter-producer) tells Santa not to bring him Megan Fox, Scarlett Johansson, Amy Smart, Penelope Cruz, Lindsay Lohan, Cameron Diaz, Emma Stone, Angelina Jolie or Britney Spears. He instead asks for a good girl for huggin' and kissin' -- just a blond who likes to sing. "Santa, for my gift/Please send me Taylor Swift," he begs. In his bio, Taubenfeld describes himself as someone who at age 7 became obsessed with a well-written pop song. If this one's any indication, with lyrics like "I know her and I are gonna fit/Taylor Taubenfeld has a ring to it," that obsession might pay off big time. Officially titled "Merry Swiftmas (Even Though I Celebrate Chanukah)," the single charted at No. 59 on this week's Billboard country airplay chart.

Evan Taubenfeld is so amazing I saw and met him at a concert! His songs are wonderful and from his own experiences. Like the song cheater of the year written from a past relationship. (it says her name in the music video!) And I love Taylor Swift too cause her songs are the same way!

Billiam, where did you get that tidbit about Taylor’s Grandma? The actress with curly blond hair who played Hotlips Hoolihan on “Mash” was Loretta SWIT, not Swift, was married and divorced w/o having children, making it tough to be a grandmom. Taylor’s grandmother was an opera singer.
