Readers, Share Your Own Holiday Hot Dish
I am always on the lookout for new recipes this time of year for the big fancy holiday spreads as well as the everyday meals. So last night, I made Hazel Smith's Easy Beef Stroganoff. You basically throw stew beef, a couple cans of soup and some sour cream in a dish and bake it and then serve it with rice. There was not one drop left over. So I thought there must be good recipes out there from some of the readers, too. Smith is always good at bringing the celeb factor into her recipes with her Southern Fried Flicks show, and I have her cookbook with recipes like Keith Urban's quiche, Garth Brook's red beans and rice, Lee Ann Womack's brownies and Alan Jackson's chicken-fried steak. Somewhere along the way, I also found a recipe for Faith Hill's Coca Cola cake, which is out of this world. So when it comes to recipes of the stars, I'm set. But now I'd just like to know if you have any family-friendly dishes you'd like to share, right here in the comments section.

Taco Loco says:
How much sodium is in the stew beef recipe? Hazel is long on boring simplistic recipes for non-cooks and short on healthy eating.

The recipe doesn’t call for salt so I would imagine the only salt would be what’s in the soup, sour cream, and rice and any that you add. You’ll have to read the labels.
I thought the recipe sounded good and was thinking of making it this weekend….
