10 Christmas Gift Ideas for Country Fans

Dierks BentleyGift cards are not gifts. That is just my opinion but in a day and age where grocery stores have end-of-aisle displays stocked with gift cards for everywhere from Best Buy to Victoria's Secret to Applebee's, I think it needs to be said. To me, a gift card says, "I care about you but not enough to actually put some thought into a gift." Frankly, it's just plain lazy holiday shopping. So to get you thinking about some more creative gifts for the country fans on your list, I will start with a gift guide and you can feel free to add some of your own ideas.

1. The Rise of Kahne DVD with narrator Dierks Bentley. Fans of Bentley tend to love his vocals even when all he's doing is talking about the life of NASCAR hero, Kasey Kahne. According to USA Weekend, they met backstage at the Grand Ole Opry.

2. Tickets to The Blind Side starring Tim McGraw. OK, maybe he's not THE star. But he does a good job playing Sandra Bullock's yes-man of a husband.

3. A copy of Playgirl featuring Levi Johnston. He's not a country singer. Yet. But the father of Sarah Palin's grandson is eyeing a future since he's such a fan of Kenny Chesney.

4. Taylor Swift doll, available in a variety of outfits. Great for little girls who still play with dolls and collectors of all things Swift.

5. The Baby Taylor guitar for budding players who are inspired by Taylor Swift.

6. Kenny Chesney tickets. He won't tour much in 2010, so demand for his tickets will be high when summer comes around. Be ready.

7. Garth Brooks tickets. I didn't have any luck getting them, but maybe you will. You'd definitely win gift-of-the-decade for any Garth fans on your list.

8. Carrie Underwood's Play On CD with 11" x 17" limited edition print which she may or may not have personally signed (she only did 500 of them at random).

9. Faith Hill Parfum and/or McGraw by Tim McGraw. The pair would make a nice gift for a country-lovin' couple.

10. Keith Urban 2010 Calendar, benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Jampacked with photos of America's favorite Australian.

These are all great gift ideas, except maybe the Playgirl, dont think I want to see that. Would love to get #7, I already got #2, great movie and Tim is awesome it it. I also already have #9 and yes hotelmotel Tim has MCGRAW and also SOUTHERN BLEND and Faith’s is FAITH HILL PARFUM, and they are really good. Faith’s is so beautiful and really lasts. Of Tim’s two cologne I love his first MCGRAW, it’s more musky which I like. I actually wear it and get lots of compliments.
I would like to get #10 too.
