Where Kenny Chesney's Been and Where He's Going Next Summer
By now, you've probably heard that Mr. I-Swear-I'm-Not-Touring (Kenny Chesney) surprised his pal Sammy Hagar at the opening of his Cabo Wabo Cantina in the Planet Hollywood in Vegas. (Which is, incidentally, the exact same kind of place Toby Keith sings about in "Stays in Mexico.") Chesney and Hagar sang Hagar's "I'll Fall in Love Again" and "Eagles Fly" together for the crowd. But honestly, given a choice, I'd much rather hear Chesney do Chesney songs. So I'm thrilled that even though he's not officially touring, he is going to be playing the Country Thunder festival in Twin Lakes, Wis., next summer on July 25. Other artists scheduled to appear at the fest are Jason Aldean, Sugarland, Gloriana, Miranda Lambert, Billy Currington, Luke Bryan and more. He's got some other performances scheduled, including the Bayou Country Superfest in late May and BamaJam in Enteprise, Ala., in early June. So even if he's not headlining his own tour next year, he's still going to be playing for his fans.

You never know when and where Kenny will just pop up. I wish I could be at a place when he does one of his surprise visits..

I knew it would happen. I was in Vegas for NASCAR Championship week and saw that Cabo Wabo was opening and that Sammy was giving a free concert. Dang…..oh well, the line to get in was all the way down the street and I was on my way to another event.

I am so excited that he’s coming to Wisconsin!! I never EVER miss him and Twin Lakes is a short drive from Chicago. Summer wouldn’t be the same without Kenny!
