Dierks Bentley Brings Positive Message to Lopez Tonight
As a general rule, stand-up comics can be a pretty negative bunch. And frankly, that's what makes some of them so damn funny. Like George Lopez. He's not afraid to point out the bad qualities in all of us, but he does it to make us laugh. But tonight (Dec. 8), Dierks Bentley and Patty Griffin are going to turn things around a bit with the positively hopeful ballad, "Beautiful World." Bentley describes the tune like this: "It's a fine line to walk because you don't want to act like everything is great when it's not, but the point is that if you choose to believe in something, hopefully your beliefs will lead to action." Wow. I'll bet not even Lopez could argue with that. Bentley and Griffin will perform the song (which was just nominated for a Grammy for country collaboration with vocals, by the way) on TBS at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
