Keith Urban Jams With Ambitious Fan in California

Posted: December 3rd, 2009 at 6:13 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

I think Cory Kramer had been rehearsing for this moment all his life. He had the guitar, the capo, even the plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled up ready to go. Oh, and some mad guitar skills. So it's no wonder Keith Urban had so much fun playing with him outside a Verizon Wireless store in Pasadena, Calif., a couple weeks ago. It was one of those free promotional shows, but instead of a going-through-the-motions set list, Urban started taking requests from the 928 fans there. When Kramer shouted out "Days Go By," he grabbed the bull by the horns and took the stage to play it with Urban. While they were fussing with the guitars, Urban remarked, "I'm glad you don't play the bagpipes, Cory." And after doing the entire song together, Urban told Kramer, "You're getting lucky tonight, Cory." I like stories and videos like this because they show how much Urban genuinely loves to play, regardless of who he's playing with. And I'm so glad Kramer didn't let that day go by, because like the song says, we think about tomorrow then it slips away.

Have you seen Keith singing duet with little Grant at Chicago show?

It’s not that painful. Cory will have a bragging right of “I jammed with Keith”.

Dude….you might want to go back to the basement and do some serious praticing. You can start by learning how to tune a guitar. Oh, and take Cory Kramer with you;)

How cool is that? Corey had the time of his life and I think Keith enjoyed it as much. Not everyday you can perform in an outdoor forum like that in California and just anyone walks up and does his thing. A man with a plan, and a extra pick to spare. Good job Corey and you rock Keith. Happy Holidays to everyone.
