Keith Urban Returns to Oz

Posted: December 2nd, 2009 at 6:19 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Keith UrbanFirst, he went back down under to perform on the Aria Awards -- Australia's version of the Grammys. Keith Urban opened last week's show at Sydney's Acer Arena with "Kiss a Girl." And after returning to the U.S., Urban is now on the verge of heading back to Australia for a string of concerts in Melbourne, Wollongong, Sydney and Brisbane in December. "It felt amazing to be back in Australia opening the Arias. I loved being able to hear so much new music and catch up with old friends -- and what a great way to kick off our return tour to Oz in December," he said. And he says he's looking forward to bringing that same stage and bells and whistles he had in North America back to his old stomping grounds. And I'm looking forward to hearing the reviews from his homeland. I wonder if they still love him like a hometown Australian boy, or if they consider him just another American country singer by now.

They should consider him a hometown Australian boy, he never fails to praise his home country and say he will always be an Aussie guy.

He will always be Aussie!! The fact that he is spending christmas down under in the summer is something and I suppose, its great for him and the break away to see his family & friends. Nicole’s too of course!

Keith will never be “just another American country singer” to any of his fans. Keith, your fans in America, Australia, and everywhere else love you!

Keith is global — he has fans in many countries. Australia is proud of him as we all are!
