Tim McGraw Says He Appreciates Strong Women

Posted: November 20th, 2009 at 3:58 pm  |  By: Alison Bonaguro

Tim McGrawSandra Bullock. Faith Hill. It doesn't matter who she is, Tim McGraw just wants to be around women who rule. In his new movie, The Blind Side, Bullock plays his wife who takes charge of every situation. McGraw tells Parade.com that he was at home with that. "In our family, my wife Faith Hill is very much in control of our life. She works out everybody's schedule. I wouldn't be able to function without her. So I can totally relate to a wife like that, and I feel that it is a blessing for me because I would be a mess without her giving me that kind of structure." How nice is that? While some men (my own husband, for one) would find a take-charge woman controlling, McGraw says Hill's a blessing. The article is about way more than the way the McGraw/Hill household is run, but to me, that says it all. That, and the fact that he made the list of the hottest celebs in the upcoming Sexiest Man Alive issue of People.

I’ve heard MANY men say their wives are the ones that “run the household.” While my man works his 40 hr week, mine never ends, and he appreciates the fact that he doesn’t have to worry about the other details; banking, bills, laundry, meals, dates such as b-days and anniv of kids/grandkids, etc. Some days my feet never touch the ground. My hubby is not a wimp. He’s loving, faithful, great with family & brings home (most) of the bacon I have to split a million ways. It’s nice to see that Tim appreciates the good woman in his life.

With all that to do, you sure spend a lot of time on this website.

Great nothing wrong with that, he appreciates what Faith brings to the family and that is a sign of a good man.

The new movie is getting great reviews, love this quote.

“Bullock’s Leigh Anne and Tim McGraw’s Sean appear to have staying power as well as fun. You could say he anchors her, if you can imagine an anchor that curves with an effortless twinkle. McGraw is a natural as an actor; he’s calming in the best way.”

BTW Tim is the only Country artist in this week’s issue of People of the sexiest men. He has a whole page and there is even a video on People’s site with him, very funny. He was the3 cover of the magazine a few weeks ago. Big article on him in USA Today also.

You got a problem with that Michael? I happen to love country music and most artists and YES, I STILL get to spend some time doing what I love reading up on blogs and such. I don’t go to concerts but I listen to CD’s in my car and CMT/GAC as background at home. Thanks for your concern though. I AM a multi-tasker after all.

Who cares what Tim thinks. He is the biggest loser!

Tim is great guy. And the movie is super.

Jenn you must care, why would you take a minute out of your precious day to comment if you didn’t care and don’t like Tim. That minute is gone and you can never get it back but you spent it on someone you say you don’t care about. So what does that say about you?

There is also a big article about him in the USA Today.

Advice to Glo: Practice what you preach. You take time out of your “precious” day quite often and bash artists you don’t like especially when they’re getting more attention than your Timmy.

I think it is wonderful for Tim to say that Faith is the one who runs his househole and the fact that he would be lost if she did not. This works in some householes as the opposite does in others. My point is that there is nothing wrong with it,so why do some of you people put Tim down for what he feels is great for him.If you disagree that is your business, but you do not have the right to put him or anyone else down for what works for them.Maybe you should try it and see how it works.

With 3 yrs of college, I noticed the same thing, BUT, no point in making someone feel bad just to feel superior.
Besides, there are too many songs that use double negatives and all kinds of improper English/language usage in songwriting. I wince a bit when I hear them, but realize the rhyme or flow of a song comes before proper grammar. This has nothing to do with Tim, or any other artist.

Hey, I’m comfortable with who I am, too bad you’re not, or you wouldn’t be making such disparaging remarks to feel better about yourself. That’s ok Swilly, open your mouth and people will see what’s in your heart.

Tim McGraw is a flawed human being who is very much in love with his beautiful life. He suffered as a child from abuse at the hands of his step-father, and rejection from his biological father, but he makes every effort to be the best man he can be, as well as a wonderful husband and loving father. Words fail me in being able to express just how much I respect and appreciate this man. I don’t care one whit if he can sing or act (he CAN). I simply believe he is a great role model for young people in how he lives his life.

Thanks CMT. Amen to Peacock Queen & Brian. I’ve loved Tim since he first started out & I think he keeps getting BETTER. I am looking forward to seeing his movie later today too. It’s wonderful to see such a wonderful marriage as Tim’s and Faith’s in this day and age- so devoted to each other & family.

Peacock Queen . . . I think you’ve got it right! I feel the same way about Tim & Faith. It takes a very special person to feel that way and also be able to express it publicly. Thanks for the post!

IMO being married with kids, men love to be taken care of. And it also feels good being a mom and a wife taken over on most stuff.

I seen the movie, its ok. Not much into football movies, but I wanted to see it.

I couldn’t believe my eyes the scene him in bed with Sandra. How can he do that when he is married already, and it was so natural for him. I don’t know how Faith could watch that movie seeing that and having their children watching their dad in bed with someone. Acting or not, that is just plain weird. I am sure Mr. & Mrs. McGraw don’t allow their children seeing them like that in bed, but watching someone else with their dad just not good. Well, I hope not. Their children were at the premiere.

Maybe he is turning into one of those Hollywood people that just don’t care about what acts they take.

Call me old fashion but there are boundaries when you get married. And I think it was crossed.

TV and MOVIE-land is full of married people “sleeping” with people other than their spouses. I’m sure Nicole, Keith’s wife, has been in movies like that when married. I’m not saying I agree, but MOST people, even kids these days realize it is rehearsed in front of crews, etc and anything BUT romantic. It is a role & spouses know, some are even there while filming, etc. I’m sure Tim & Faith even explained it beforehand to the kids.

I love Tim and Faith and it bothered me to see him in bed with Sandra.but there are at least 10 people right there during the bed scene and Faith was also watching.the director tells you how to kiss and how to hold your head,it is very much directed and it was not romantic.Faith was not bothered by it.oh, by the way, the Mcgraws girls were also there.so they knew their dad was acting. when Faith read the script she knew there would be a kissing scene. She likes Sandra.not a problem in the Mcgraw household.
