As quickly as it began, ABC's Robin Roberts appropriately brought the exciting CMA week to a close this morning (Nov. 12) with an exclusive interview with Miss Dolly Parton. The two chatted at the historic Ryman Auditorium just around the corner from where I was ferociously updating CMT.com with new CMA Awards coverage. In the nearly 10-minute chat, the two touched on subjects ranging from her beginnings in Nashville to her most embarrassing moments involving a wardrobe malfunction. (Imagine that!) I even learned a few interesting facts like she once lost in a Dolly look-alike contest. Roberts illustrated her true professionalism as she eloquently summed up the leading lady as someone who "counts her blessings before her many hits."
