Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks Split
Damn, damn, damn. Just when you think a celeb relationship can withstand the demands of, well, a celeb relationship, one falls apart. Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks have gone their separate ways. So don't look for them to be all lovey dovey on the CMA Awards red carpet tonight. (They'll both still be there -- just not together.) "This was mutual. They needed some time apart," a source told People magazine. They seemed like such a beautiful happy couple, I can't imagine what went wrong. The silver lining in this cloud is that since they are both country singers, you can bet they'll both use this breakup for inspiration for any and all future heart-wrenching ballads.

That stinks. Not only were they cute together, but they seemed really in love too. I guess some things are just meant to be though. I wish them both all the happiness they deserve in the future.

I hope Julianne can use this opportunity to move up the dating chain and maybe snag someone a bit more accomplished than Wicks. She deserves a higher ranking celeb. As for Chuck Wicks, well, as Kellie Pickler might say, “the best days of his life” are pretty much done.

it was just a matter of time, I think mostly one probably was using the other to advance their career and since neither one really has done anything , move on and maybe find someone else to help you out,

I’m actually thrilled that this little break up has happened. Julianne was just using Chuck as crutch to lean on to get her into the country music business. Yes, she can sing (a little bit), but he was in the business waaay before she was still he isn’t even recognized as a Country Music Singer- he’s known as “Julianne Hough, from Dancing With The Stars’ boyfriend”. There was even a news article out this morning talking about the break up, they described Julianne as “Hough, 21, is also a professional dancer who appeared on several seasons of “Dancing with the Stars” and then stated that “Wicks, 30, is a correspondent for TV’s “Entertainment Tonight.” — this is the exact reason why this break up came at a good time. He needs to be on his own. So people will recognize him for being more than “Mr. Hough” and eye candy!
It’s pathetic- Chuck paid his dues for years parking cars and trying to make it in Nashville. And just when he gets a break, she comes around and out-does him. Steals his spotlight and is voted “Best New Female Vocalist” for the ACM- and then WINS. Chuck has yet to be nominated for anything, even with a Top 5 single for “Stealing Cinderella”.

Boy ev.eryone so negative. I thought they were a cute couple. But being cute doesn’t always make a good life together. I think both are very talented! I love Stealing Cinderella. Wish he would put out something new!!! He can really sing. Julianne can sing and boy can she dance!! Good luck to both of them

I liked them they were a cute couple. I saw Chuck in Syracuse NY during the state fair and he was really happy.

They have both done better than any of those who have left a comment here, but it was time to move on in life for them. Julianne will probably go a lot farther in life just due to her many talents and beauty. She also has a very beautiful soul, so it is likely she will probably hookup with someone like herself who has a much more spiritual calling/orientation in life! Good luck to both of them!

IM thrilled she broke up with that dope. He was such a winey baby on “DWTS”, Julianne has more talent than him, and im sure he finally got fed up with being a second bannana to her. Just see how far he gets now. Juliannes career is just taking off, she is doing movies next year, and has another album coming out. She is definately going places. Plus that guy is 10 years older than her. When she was 10, he was 20. ewwwwww. That age difference does create a problem, i dont care what anyone says. She made him look good, not the other way around. I hope she stays single for a while, and dont date someone who is in the business. And come back to DWTS for one more season and get that third trophy.

I thought they came off rather fake and annoying together. Doing DWTS did Mr. Wicks no favors. He just didn’t come off well from what I saw of him the show. He still wasn’t getting recognized for his music after it was over. There seemed to be a lot of things wrong with this relationship, mostly that it seems the two of them were in it for the wrong reasons. Julianne is very young, she should be footloose and fancy free. And maybe Chuck should mature a little bit and date closer to his own age and for more than just because someone is ”hot” and can take him places.
