Taylor Swift's Funniest SNL Moments
When you sit down to watch Saturday Night Live with a group of people of all ages, you get a myriad of points of view. "My Monologue Song (La, La, La)" was my favorite part of the show but I thought I'd share my family's favorite bits of the night:
Maddy, 14: The Firelight trailer. Because, "Mom you totally don't even understand how completely funny this is because it is EXACTLY like the Twilight trailer." Except, you know, these are Frankensteins and mummies instead of vampires and werewolves. And, it was like a veiled shout-out to the other Taylor.
Jack, 12: The View skit. He's only 12, but what a typical man. He thought that ripping on Kate Gosselin was hysterical. Ha, ha, ha. I am 100 percent on Team Kate, so I didn't laugh at all.
Jesse, 11: The PSA for "T.R.A.A.A.P.D." (Teens Raising Awareness About Awful Parent Driving). Especially the ones about driving while trying to get something out of your purse and driving while arguing with the GPS. All made even funnier with Swift's headgear-induced lisp.
My husband is more about the music than the comedy, so he loved Swift's performances the best. Even when she was just being Shakira.

While not a big fan of Taylor’s music, I like her as an entertainer and person. So, while I may not like her music, I’m glad she’s out there for the kid set that needs descent people to look up to instead of Britney Spears and friends.
Anyway, my point is, while I may not love her music, I think she is hysterical. One of my favorites was an add for the show when she said she “must be a robot”. The la la song was funny, but if it is released as a song on country radio, I’m finally switching to i-pod/satellite radio only.
T.R.A.A.A.P.D. was hysterical. She did a great job hosting the show. Oh yeah, almost forgot - Penelope always makes me laugh, but “June” did what I probably would have done - been a big baby back.

Not that i saw the epsoide i wish i did thro i have only saw part of a SNL show and liked it but the part about her and the to bodyguards kanya thing is true. Never know when he or one of his fans are going to try and prove they ain’t gay.

I didn’t like the show at all….I thought Taylor did fair with what they gave her to work with. I find SNL hasn’t been good in the skit department for years, so I didn’t laugh that much.
The fact that kids that are young enough not to get the joke with the braces shows the type of audience that was watching and there was a considerable amount of adult and sexual content in it, and SNL shoulld have expected a young audience.
The sing nearly killed me and her pretend emotions were not emotting what she was saying she was singing a happy part of YBWM and she looked like she was in agony. The Miley hair toss….she really needs to lose that cause she looks like a looser. How many times can a person point at the camera and stick their hand in the air, it all got very robotic.
At least she used country instruments this time!!!

Taylor was NOT making fun of kids with braces! She was wearing headgear for crying out loud! And she wasn’t making fun of kids with that either. SNL takes the piss out of things its called PARODY and if you think your kids are going to be offended by what goes on in the show then don’t let them watch it! Even if it’s their ‘favourite popstar’ or whatever. Don’t say ‘Not cool Taylor!!!!!’ she was asked to do a skit on the show, she’s allowed to have some fun too! She HAD braces and headgear when she was younger, she knows what its like, she wasn’t trying to be mean about it. SNL is one of the funniest shows out their and if you don’t like it, DON’T WATCH IT!
