Carrie Underwood's Never-Ending Quest for Abs
I have a girlfriend who refers to her midsection as "the situation." Another one who calls it her "pouch." And another who calls it her "second trimester." Like we all have a little more junk around our bellies than we'd like. But I have a really, really hard time believing Carrie Underwood has the situation. Yet she told Parade magazine, "My abs are my trouble area. If I gain weight, it's around my hips and my belly. And if you have on a great dress and it fits everywhere but your belly, that's not good. It may take me the rest of my life, but if I'm 80 and I have abs, I'll be happy!" God love her for admitting that and working hard to achieve her goals, as opposed to simply relying on the lazy-man's liposuction (Spanx) like the rest of the world. The rest of the story hits on things like how happy she'll be to be cooking and eating with family over the holidays, and hopefully, taking in a football game.

Man-I don’t know where she is coming from. She is HOT–PERFECT–BEAUTIFUL–and I admire her more for talking about herself in the negative. She is a sweet, honest person–and I love her all the more for that. PLUS she sings like an angel. Love her new album. Good article Alison.

Carrie has worked hard to get herself in good physical condition.Her pictures today compared to what she looked like on IDOL, show how she has lost weight and become more beautiful especially in the face and neck area not that she was really heavy then but more normal you could say with a few extra lbs.She probably has a flap left from then of skin.But she has said she uses something for tummy control when she has red Carpet and Fashion events.

Her handlers make her stay thin, Looks are more important than anything else. It doesn’t matter how good or bad you can sing. If you’re fat you don’t last. I don’t care what anyone says, if she weighed 200 lbs, she would not be as popular as she is. It’s all about image..

I agree about her “handlers”. She’s a controlled commodity. She’s a marketing tool, as soon as she stops performing up to the handlers standards she will be gone, and the 100’s of other “Underwoods” waiting in line will step up to the plate. That’s show business.

I agree about Susan Boyle. She’ll never be as popular as Carrie. That’s ridiculous! Look, her handlers even tried to “pretty up” Susan to make her more appealing. Now she just looks like a clown. Vocals and talent take a backseat to the way you look. Looks and mass appeal come first. Face it, It’s all about what’s going to make money. I agree, if Carrie was 5ft tall and weighed 200 lbs, and could sing just as she does now, she wouldn’t be nearly as popular.

By the way, what woman doesn’t have body insecurities? Now it’s all because she won’t be as popular? Look at the craziness Dolly goes through to “look good” and no one accuses her of being the latest commodity. That’s just part of being a woman. A man can “rock a beer gut”, a chick can’t.

She has always been hotter than Taylor–even at 14 years old–and she could sing then too. Taylor wears so much makeup-especially around her eyes to hide her squinty eyes. She reminds me of an oppossum. Carrie is mature and is working to make her body better instead of getting fake boobs, etc.. Good for her–I like natural!! After seeing SNL I don’t think Taylor is as innocent as she wants us to believe. Go figure!

I think Carrie has people around her that likes to stay in good health. They’re not HANDLERS. I think that her bodyguard works out with her and trains her as well. Have you seen pictures of those 2 together leaving the gym? They are totally hardbodies.

Carrie sure has changed since her Idol days. It’s almost like she is too worried about looking “perfect.” I don’t think she could possibly lose any more weight and look good. She’s already too thin and some have said that she’s not fake. Apparently her hair became naturally perfect over nigh then, huh? She had horse hair on AI then all of a sudden, she goes big and has long, straight beautiful hair…give me a break. She has totally changed since AI and not for the better. And this weight thing?
