"Forever & Always" Makes Fearless Flawless
Not every one is crazy about deluxe album reissues. Why pay for songs you already have just to get a couple new ones, right? Well, I have three words for you: forever and always. On Taylor Swift's new Fearless Platinum Edition, she has six new songs, one of which is the piano version of her "Forever & Always." One listen gave me goosebumps. I'm kind of a sucker for piano songs and for songs that have only one instrument. So it was only natural that I'd like it. But I didn't know how much until I put it on. Using such sparse music makes the lyrics so much more powerful. It's kind of like the way a dash of salt on an orange makes the orange taste so much sweeter. You strip away the layers of guitars and you're left with a beautiful, although heartbreaking, story. (Remember Sugarland's "Stay"? I felt just as strongly about the way that song was arranged.)
The other five songs she's added to this album are all potential hits, too. And all for different reasons. Some have her hitting new vocal heights, some cover more mature territory and some reinvent the teen-diary moments she's so good at setting to music. Plus, the CD is really just the beginning. There is also a DVD with six videos (including her eight-foot-four-blond-hair-to-the-floor "Thug Story" from the 2009 CMT Music Awards), some great behind-the-scenes stuff and photo galleries.

OMG I want the cd so bad! I love the song Thug Story and I love Taylor. Anyone who has a problem with Taylor getting the attention, you can get over it. She is gonna win the ETOY award because she deserves it. She has accomplished a lot in the last year, and she has had the number 1 song with Fifteen. So, anyone with negative comments about Taylor Alison Swift better just take a chill pill, get over it, and SHUT UP!

First, let me start by saying I like Taylor. I’ve seen her several times and camped out for 16 hours to meet her. Having said that, she is NOT the best artist nor is she the queen. Carrie has sold more albums then her WITHOUT rereleasing them. Brad, Keith, Kenny have played to more people and are WAY better Entertainers than she is. RASCAL FLATTS should be in the EOTY category over her. Taylor will more than likely when because she has Nashville in her pocket. She needs new material to write about and she needs to improve her Live voice. She has a long way to go before she can even be CONSIDERED the queen

You`re getting mad flower trying to defend so hard of your idol.TS will be the only queen of country music who can`t sing live and off key most of the time;she`ll make history for sure. The artists you mentioned are good vocalists with good range but then like you said you don`t need TS to be a good vocalist because you`re just happy with her music. Good for you. She has been number one for almost a year now..there is now stopping her.
Outside of winning awards - and she will win more awards - Taylor has sold more musical cd’s than anyone last year and this year! Her accolades seem to be endless if you start adding them up. Record after record are now in Taylor’s hip pocket and she has added another Guinness Book entry too!
Aside from all that - there are still doubters that say she cannot sing.
This is a pretty sad statement if you analyze it. The musical guest for DWTS was Taylor. The musical guest for Saturday Night Live will be Taylor Swift.
She sings at all her sold-out Fearless concerts. She sings like a nightingale according to the author of this blog! Yeah - I know some (not most) bloggers do not like her voice - all I can say is tough! Deal with it! Taylor is not going away - she is everywhere at the moment and will remain on top for quite sometime!

Taylor should not win ETOY. It is an honor for her to be included, but her winning would be a farce. Kenny, Brad, and Keith have done much more in concert sales and each have successful albums out this year as well. ETOY is a culmination of what you as an artist have done this year. Taylor has done enough to get the honor of being nominated, but not enough to win it. I think this one is Brad Paisley’s for the taking.
As for Taylor - this year has been good to her. But the overexposure is taking its toll on fans. This site has so much Taylor backlash that it isn’t even funny. There are major media markets where Taylor is not even in the top 5 play list for a week, but she cracks them for the pop/Top40 stations. Along with the overexposure is the fact that all of her songs are about one subject - she needs to branch out and write about different things. She doesn’t always have to write songs that she experiences or her friends experience. She has a special song writing gift, but she will go the way of so many overexposed pop stars if she doesn’t do something about her song subject.

Taylor may win the EOTY award but it is ONLY because she released an album during the year. Carrie Underwood and Reba did not have new albums out so they were not eligible for consideration. Please, if Carrie were up for that award again this year she would win hands down. Also, Taylor is lucky that she is being considered this year - she can’t compete against Carrie, Reba, Dollie, Martina…need I go on. You gotta have real talent to play in the big leagues..and Taylor just doesn’t have it. She better thank God for her tweenie fans.
