Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins Have Hillbilly Bones
Well, I for one can't help but holler and yee-haw. Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins have teamed up on this brilliant new rednecky tune, "Hillbilly Bone." Yes, it's kind of a novelty song. No, it's not deep and dark and bittersweet. But, damn, it is good fun. The two of them are like a match made in sexy-swagger heaven for country music fans. It won't be ready for radio until Nov. 2, but you can hear it now on Blake's official Web site -- in all its baritone glory. It's about a guy in New York City who's never heard of Conway Twitty, don't know nothing 'bout grits and greens and has never been south of Queens. Of the collaboration with Adkins, Shelton said, "When I first heard 'Hillbilly Bone,' I knew it was one of those songs that would kick the door down, and who better to kick the door down with me than my buddy Trace." The bottom line is, as Shelton and Adkins conclude, we've all got a hillbilly bone down deep inside. Again, that just makes me want to holler and yee-haw.

I think it’s awesome! funny and just plain fun.. truly a rednecky song.. and with those two singin.. they could be singin the ABC’s and i’d be enthralled :)

Hillbilly bone is one of the best country songs to come out in a long time. Love it. Trace and Blake are two sexy men with very sexy voices and I can’t wait for the CD to come out. BTW, Honkey Tonk Badonkadonk is a great song. I too could listen to Blake and Trace sing the ABC because at least I know they would make it fun and sexy all at the same time.
