I have been nearly overwhelmed with new music this fall. I'm finally to the bottom of my stack, so here are some new tunes that I think you'll like. My roots are showing with this list since Patty Loveless and Rosanne Cash are two of the reasons I became interested in country music. (I enjoyed reading this feature story on Patty Loveless, where she talks about reconnecting with her own roots.) And I'm intrigued by the way that younger artists like Corb Lund and Steep Canyon Rangers are tweaking traditional country music. And since we're talking about roots, I tossed in an old Ralph Stanley number that's recently been reissued.
